As soon as Ryan Seacrest was announced as Pat Sajak’s successor on Wheel Of Fortune, he has had a big target on his back. Even before he even hosted his first episode of the popular game show, people were already calling for him to be fired and replaced.
Since taking the reins at Wheel Of Fortune, watchers continue to find new things to complain about and nitpick in regard to how he hosts the game. Seacrest may be a perfect fit for a show like American Idol, which he has been hosting from the beginning. However, when it comes to Wheel Of Fortune, many people are still adamant that he is not the right person for the job.
Fans Call Out Seacrest For Being ‘Stoned’ On The Popular Game Show
For anyone who has not been keeping up with all of the Ryan Seacrest critiques, viewers have found more than enough to criticize the new host over since he took this coveted gig. Most recently, watchers have accused the new host of being “stoned” during tapings.
- One recent commenter said: “My wife swears that Ryan Seacrest hosts the show stoned every night. I think the idea is ludicrous. Outlandish, even. And yet, my wife is pretty savvy about these things. She’s rarely wrong when her sixth sense kicks in. Her evidence? She says his eyes are the giveaway. Red and droopy. Could there be anything to this? (Not that I’d judge him for it, mind you.).”
- A second commenter chimed in, adding: “He’d have to be high all day long while they’re filming. I feel like this is unlikely for Ryan.”
- A third person said: “He just has naturally half closed eyes, similar to me He is low energy here compared to other shows and his radio show but of course, that means nothing. The man is just tired.”
Some Wheel Of Fortune Fans Are Giving Ryan Seacrest A Break
With as much hate as Ryan Seacrest has received since becoming the new Wheel Of Fortune host, it isn’t all bad. Some viewers are slowly coming around to the idea of him as the new host, much in the same way that The Price Is Right fans did when Drew Carey took over from Bob Barker.
To his credit, Ryan Seacrest has done things to make the show his own, and to put his own spin on things, and some Wheel Of Fortune fans have been more forgiving than others as he adjusts to this new hosting role, especially with the world watching his every move.
