The casual The Price Is Right viewer may not realize it, but, there are a lot of moving parts that ensure that the game show runs smoothly on a regular basis. Of course, there is game show host, Drew Carey. He is the face of the show, and he makes sure that everything moves along as it should.

Of course, one aspect that game show fans love is also the models, who introduce a lot of the prizes, and in some cases, even help with the games.

One thing that The Price Is Right fans have noticed is that there are fewer models on the game show today than there have been in the past. This is a trend that viewers have not only noticed, but have called out as well. Even the game show itself has poked fun at this.
In a Facebook post from the main show account from 2021, the caption reads: “Due to budget cuts, please meet our new Price Is Right models.” Following this, the post shows a picture of two mannequins rather than real people. So, this is something that the show is very aware of.

The Price Is Right Fans Point Out Models Missing From Show
With the current The Price Is Right model rotation already small, many game show fans have noticed that, for some episodes, there may only be one model on hand for the entire broadcast. Budget cuts and overall downsizing have been discussed, and it’s something that viewers talk about often.
- Recently, one commenter said: “I’m not a fan of these seemingly cost-cutting one model shows. Rachel has been solo 9ish times this year and now Alexis. Of course I like them both, but they need to be partnered woth someone for a little variety. It gets old hearing the announcer or drew thank/introduce the same model over and over.”
- A second commenter said: “Seeing Alexis by herself was the first time I saw anyone other than Rachel being by herself.”
- Another person said: “I don’t know if it’s due to costs, the models are probably on salary, so it may be due instead to availability. The models have lives and maybe side-jobs keeping them busy…”

I miss the models!! 😔. They are a BIG part of Drew’s show. They really class the prizes up.
Make cuts in other places and leave the models alone!
Drew is great. But the models truly enhance the show, by bringing great smiles, terrific personalities, and sexy good looks to the show. I watch the show because of Drew and the models, not the goofy contestants. Please show them more often.
