Acorn TV has announced that Brooke Shields is starring in a new crime drama Allie & Andi created by former When Calls The Heart Executive Producer. Here is the latest news on this upcoming mystery series that will premiere in 2026.
Brooke Shields Is Starring In New Acorn TV Crime Drama Allie & Andi
On Monday, Acorn TV announced the new crime drama Allie & Andi, starring Brooke Shields. This will be a six-episode murder mystery that is set in a New England town. The story follows “Bestselling novelist (Shields) who forms an unlikely alliance with an aspiring writer and influencer to find the killer of a close friend.”
The creator and showrunner is former When Calls The Heart Executive Producer Robin Bernheim. Brooke Shields previously worked with With Robin Bernheim on When Calls The Heart, when Shields portrayed Charlotte Thornton in Season 3. In addition, the two reunited for Netflix’s Mother Of The Bride in 2024. Production will start this fall, with a premiere set for sometime in 2026.
In a statement Brooke Shields shared her excitement for this reunion and project. “I’m overjoyed to collaborate once again with the incredible Robin Bernheim who has created two strong, smart women you want to root for within Allie & Andie.” She continued. “the writing and storytelling really resonate with me, and this is a project I’m not only proud of but a role I can’t wait to play.”
Currently, Acorn TV has not announced who will portray the influencer/writer.
This is not Brooke’s first time playing detective. Over a decade ago, Shields starred in Hallmark’s Flower Shop Mysteries. However, despite a massive contract with Hallmark, she left the network. That is because she was led to believe that she would be in a mystery series that had humor. However, former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott didn’t want humor in his content. In addition, stars have shared that he didn’t want to see actresses cry, or stars wear plaid. These grim rules sent the Suddenly Susan star to rework her contract and abruptly leave the mystery series.

Brooke Shields And David Spade Working On Almost Paradise
Besides her upcoming Acorn TV gig, Brooke Shields has been flourishing with another project. This time, it is Almost Paradise with David Spade. This is a multi-camera sitcom that is Blue Lagoon meets Gilligan’s Island. It is about a “normal married couple” who are facing the challenges associated with living on a desert island.
Fox has ordered two scripts. However, this series is still in development.
In addition, the actress has been promoting her book Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old. The actress and former supermodel has been sharing all sorts of stories from her fascinating life, including her acting roles. She is now enjoying a Renaissance with these new roles and opportunities.
