‘Shark Tank’: Where To Buy Paper Tacos
Shark Tank is back tonight with a new episode after taking a one-week break. This week, four new entrepreneurs are offering their products to the sharks. The week includes some amazing products, including a traveling entertainment show, planters made of cow poop, and an interesting mail-order history service. However, one of the more interesting is a greeting card company called Paper Tacos.
Here is what you need to know about Paper Tacos and where to buy them after their appearance on Shark Tank.
What Is Paper Tacos On Shark Tank?
Paper Tacos is a greeting card company that appears tonight on Shark Tank. Jesus Ruvalcaba created the business, and he focuses on cards reflecting the humor, traditions, and language of the Latino community. Based out of Salinas, California, the cards are in Spanish and Spanglish.
Jesus was raised in a farmworker community in California, working alongside his two immigrant parents. He developed an interest in art at a young age and went on to study design at Hartnell College and California State University, Monterey Bay. He was the first member of his family to graduate from college.
Jesus started his company in 2016, creating his first designs. He created 15 greeting cards and invested $300 to produce the first batch, selling them at an art festival in 2017. People were enthusiastic about the cards, and he knew he had a good company idea.
He made $2,000 in sales in 2017 and $12,000 in 2018. He now sells his cards in at least 25 stores nationwide, including Vallarta Supermarkets, which has 60 stores. By 2023, Jesus quit his full-time job and put all his focus into Paper Tacos, and now he wants to see if a shark will help him reach an even wider customer base.
Where To Buy Paper Tacos From Shark Tank
Anyone who wants to buy Paper Tacos greeting cards after seeing the company on Shark Tank can find them at the company website, papertacos.com. As a special promo from the reality TV show, there is even a 15 percent off offer.
The website has cards that Ruvalcaba brought onto the show that interested the sharks. They are all available for $5.50 each. These cards are advertised as being printed in California with FSC-certified paper. Of course, they are all blank on the inside, so a person can write their own message to go with the design on the card’s exterior.
Under the cards, there are options for graduation, birthday, love & friendship, new baby, anniversary, wedding, get well soon, and many more. There are also free digital downloads.
You can also shop for cards by a specific artist. This includes Alina Kiliwa, Eduardo Marticorena, Grecia Zamora, Karina Gaspar, Mizael Huerta, and Robertoon. This includes cards ($5.50 each) and stickers ($3.50 each).
The site also offers vinyl stickers, balloons, erasers, gift card holders, gift tags, and planners.
Shark Tank airs on Friday at 8/7c on ABC.
