‘Days Of Our Lives’ Star Leaving After Nearly 20 Years
An actress that had appeared on Days of Our Lives for close to twenty years has recently announced her departure from the series. Notably, in spite of the timing, she denied that this had been an April Fool’s Day joke. This also comes out just as the soap is set to celebrate an upcoming milestone.
The Days Of Our Lives Actress Wished The Story Was An ‘April Fool’s Joke’
Days of Our Lives has been running in some form since 1965. Until 2022, the soap opera had aired on NBC.
Following this, Days of Our Lives switched to Peacock, continuing on for additional seasons. This means the soap will soon celebrate its 60th anniversary.
According to The U.S. Sun, however, the soap will soon see a change in the cast. Actress Tamara Braun recently shared that she will soon be departing the role of Ava Vitali.
Taking note of the date, Braun shared, “I wish this was an April Fool’s Joke but it’s not. This is Ava’s last week on Days. Last couple of days really.”
Braun shared she’d been away for quite a while. As she shared, “Sad but true. I’ve been gone since late July of last year but you can still catch Ava on your screens until April 3rd!”
The actress continued, “I miss being with my Days pals. They are a really good group of caring individuals and being with them was a joy.” Braun ended the post writing, “Thanks for all the #love #kindness and #support during Ava’s latest Salem stint.” The accompanying video was a slideshow of Braun with her co-stars.
Some Fans Hope They Will See Braun In Salem Again Someday
As an actress, Braun has had a prominent career in soaps. She notably portrayed Carly Corinthos on General Hospital from 2001 to 2005. She also played Resse Williams on All My Children from 2008 to 2009.
Braun first joined Days of Our Lives as Ava Vitali in 2008. She later returned to the role in 2015, and has been playing the character off and on over the years. In 2011, she also notably played the character of Taylor Walker on the soap.

Notably, many fans took to the comments to share words of support with the actress. As Braun has departed from the soap before, some shared the hope that she might be back someday. Some comments included:
