‘The Chicken Sisters’ Season 1 Coming To Hallmark: What Is It About?
The Hallmark Channel is finally premiering The Chicken Sisters. Starring Lea Thompson, Wendie Malick, Schuyler Fisk, and Genevieve Angelson, this is a multi-generational series about rival chicken restaurants who compete on a reality show called Kitchen Clash. Now Mimi’s and Frannie’s are competing for the title and a boatload of money. However, the journey there is unexpected.
Narrated by Margo Martindale and based on the K.J. Dell’Antonia novel of the same name, this is a series filled with secrets, romance, and a whole lot of family baggage. Here are more details.
What Is The Chicken Sisters About?
The Chicken Sisters is headed to the Hallmark Channel. What is this series about? According to the official synopsis, “After marrying into the family that runs Frannie’s, Amanda Moore-Hiller’s (Schuyler Fisk) relationship with her mom Augusta “Gus” Moore (Wendie Malick), who runs Mimi’s, has been as cold as a frog’s tail.”
However, Nancy Hiller (Lea Thompson) is happy. Amanda is the daughter she never had. Amanda is married to her son Frank Jr. (James Kot). The widowed Nancy and Amanda keep the restaurant going, while Frank Jr. figures out how to be a great business person.
Amanda, whose wish is to have another baby, decides to sign up for the Kitchen Clash contest. She thinks this is a way to shake up her dull life. Besides, the $100k prize and national recognition is a plus. But, when Sabrina Skye (Rukiya Bernard) gives Amanda a call that they are headed to their town of Merinac, Amanda panics.
The only way her mom Gus would do this if her sister Mae (Genevieve Angelson) comes to help. Meanwhile, Mae has discovered she no longer has a job. Now, she is headed home. Who will now win?

Did Hallmark Renew The Chicken Sisters Season 2?
Has Hallmark renewed The Chicken Sisters for Season 2? As of now, they have not. However, it is expected. According to Creative BC, an industry site, they will start production on April 7. In addition, the most recent Production Weekly has listed Season 2 of this series again. They have posted it several times since the beginning of the year.

All episodes of The Chicken Sisters are currently available to stream on Hallmark Plus. It should be. noted that when the Hallmark Channel premieres each episode on cable, those episodes are available to stream on Peacock.
