‘Curse Of Oak Island’ Rick & Marty Digging The Wrong Site All Along?

The Curse Of Oak Island Season 12 has kept many viewers scratching their heads. Rick and Marty Lagina have found numerous artifacts, which they believe to have dated back hundreds of years. It gives them high hopes that they just hit something huge. However, the team has yet to make a significant discovery that will quench their thirst for treasure. But some fans think Rick and Lagina may have been digging in the wrong site all along. Keep reading to see why.
Curse Of Oak Island: Fans Beg For Changes
Some fans on social media recently called out the show’s narrator for repeatedly saying the same thing whenever Rick and Marty found something interesting. However, the discovery often leads to disappointment, and some viewers are starting to get tired of the false hope.

Others suggested that History Channel should change the narrator to someone who can make things more thrilling, like a WWE announcer or even Samuel L. Jackson. Some also believe that an honest narrator would be better. But another social media thread thinks the narrator is not the problem. Instead, it could be the area where the Curse Of Oak Island stars are digging.
Rick & Marty Digging In The Wrong Site All Along?
According to a social media post, Rick and Marty should instead dig a massive hole once and for all to check if there is indeed treasure on the island, adding that they no longer care about all the old wood or shoe leather they have found. But several Curse Of Oak Island fans found out that the “money pit” was a leftover of Robert Dunfield, who already dug a 100 feet wide and 140 feet deep hole in the pit. This also may hint that all the materials Rick and Marty have been digging are just remnants of other treasure hunters, and there may be nothing else left for them.

- “The reason the ground around the money pit is so soft and wet is because Robert Dunfield dug a giant hole there 100 feet wide and 140 feet deep, and then filled it back in. The Curse of Oak Island guys are just digging up fill dirt and random debris from Dunfield’s hole. And occasionally they find a nail or piece of wood from one of the 18th or 19th century dig attempts.”
- “In 2064 the History Channel will present “Return to Oak Island”, hosted by an AI avatar of Matty Blake, where a new generation of searchers digs up and finds such mysterious artifacts as Jack’s tattered green UA shirt (used to wrap Shakespeare folios surely) and Peter’s discarded vape pens.”
- “They all knew this was Dunfield’s debris pile when they went into Aladdin’s well. To me it looked like a big “f*ck you” from Marty and Craig. They made the call, they’re paying for it, and they ran out of ideas.”
- “They don’t because the estimated cost is $100M. They don’t have that kind of money. If you’ve ever watched Walkers’ Gold, they have machines that can dig massive holes in a few days, but the machines are a half mil each.”
Curse Of Oak Island: Fans Think The Team Is Stalling
Another social media thread also discussed why the show is no longer the way it was. According to the poster, it’s been dry for the Curse Of Oak Island stars, and they haven’t found anything historical. It’s far from what they used to find years ago, such as religious artifacts, brooches, and even a very old garnet.

But despite all the doubts, Rick and Marty Lagina are still determined to find something in the Aladdin’s Cave. They even invested in a mini-submarine, hoping to see what was under the muddy waters of the cave.
