'General Hospital' Fans Fear for Sonny And Elizabeth's Lives

Over the past few months, fans have seen a shadow of death haunts Port Charles. Recently, General Hospital fans are starting to worry that two characters will soon be next. As they fear, the bell may soon toll for Sonny Corinthos and Elizabeth Webber.

General Hospital Fans Have Been Worried About Sonny For Quite A While

Sonny Corinthos has been part of the soap since 1993. Maurice Benard has played the crime kingpin for decades, with his son Joshua once playing a younger version of the character.

For her part, Elizabeth Webber joined the soap in 1997, serving as original lead character Steve Hardy’s granddaughter. Over the years, she has been played by actress Rebecca Herbst.

As previously reported, fans have been worried about Sonny for quite some time. His ongoing heart problems could possibly serve as a way for the series to kill off the character.

Fans had already known that Sonny’s medical issues were about to resurface after a teaser showed him on the floor as Ava mocked him. Beforehand, the two were conversing about Michael’s burns and Morgan’s death. It was at this point Sonny clutched his chest, dropping his bill bottle.

Reading the situation, Ava asked Sonny, “Oh my, my. Do you need those?” The scene felt like it paid tribute to a famous scene on the soap when Edward Quartermaine faked a heart attack to see if Tracy would give him his medication.

A Teaser Hinted That Someone Will Soon Have A Tragic Traffic Accident

Meanwhile, someone appears to be after Ava herself. Recent events on the soap appear to have Kristina, who blames Ava for the death of her unborn child with Molly and TJ, cut someone’s brakes.

A teaser even showed Lucky asking Kristina what she had just done. However, the face of the driver is obscured, as if it is going to be a twist.

While Ava is presumably the intended target, it appears another character would end up taking a dangerous drive. Some fans suspect the character caught up in the crossfire could out to be Elizabeth.

It’s noteworthy that Lucky is implied to be concerned over Kristina’s actions. As Soaps noted, he appeared to be close to reuniting with her. This could make her death all the more shocking.

Similar to Sonny, there had been some recent speculation that Elizabeth would soon be leaving the soap as well. However, at the time, there was concern she would be Cyrus’ next target. This storyline was presumably resolved with Cyrus’ own passing. However, having a character cheat death only to die anyway could make a twist all the more shocking.

Of course, anything could happen on a soap. In the end, however, only time will tell what will happen in Port Charles. Fans will need to watch General Hospital to see what happens next.
