‘Bachelor’ DeAnna Pappas Alleges Physical Abuse During Marriage
Bachelor and Bachelorette alum DeAnna Pappas has made more allegations against her ex-husband since her arrest on February 27. At that time he accused her of domestic assault and she was taken into custody. She was later released on a $20,000 bond. Now, as she continues to pursue a protective order against Stephen Stagliano, she is alleging that abuse occurred on more than one occasion throughout their marriage. What is she saying? Bachelor Alum DeAnna Pappas Alleges Domestic Abuse From Ex
Former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas has been divorced officially from Stephen Stagliano since June 2024. They initially filed for divorce in January 2023. In their divorce papers, their custody agreement states that neither can drink around their children or use narcotics.
On February 27, when Stephen was picking up the children, he wanted to smell DeAnna’s breath to see if she had been drinking alcohol. She denied it and proceeded to try to go into the house. He followed her. It led to a scuffle in which he allegedly pushed her. She ran into the house and Stephen called the police alleging abuse.
Now, DeAnna filing more in her restraining order request and saying that he abused her multiple times throughout their marriage. InTouch found out all the details included in the filed paperwork.
DeAnna alleges that in the past, Stephen struggled with depression and was once held on a 5150 hold. This hold is a 72-hour psychiatric hold. She went on to say that she was not trying to speak negatively about Stephen. DeAnna said, “I know our children love him deeply and I believe that the two of us need to take a realistic look at what is going on.”
She claims he assaulted her multiple times throughout their marriage. In the fall of 2022, he flew into a rage and called her a “crazy bitch.” She alleged,
“Stephen shoved me with one hand. Stephen clenched his fist on my shirt and bra with the other hand. Stephen forcefully shoved me backward into the refrigerator. I was pinned up against the refrigerator and restrained there by Stephen’s grip on my clothing. My shirt and bra both tore off my body. Stephen was pressing his chest and body into me so that I could not escape his grasp.”
He also proceeded to call her a nightmare. She finally escaped him and was shaking with fear.
It Had Also Happened Before That Time
DeAnna Pappas alleged that it also happened in 2021 when they were living with his parents. Without being provoked she says Stephen flew into a rage and shoved her backwards into some bar stools. She was bent over and in a lot of pain.
He also shoved her in 2016 while she was pregnant and holding their other child. So far Stephen has not responded to the allegations.
After her February arrest, DeAnna consented to a voluntary drug and alcohol test which all came back negative.
