Welcome To Plathville: ‘Friends’ On The Show Help To Bolster A Storyline
As Welcome To Plathville fans often see in scenes, cast members doing things alone isn’t quite as interesting as doing something on camera with other cast members or even friends. This is a way to add filler to someone’s storyline, and in some cases, these friends even end up giving interviews, which also fills content.
While it may be something fun to tell your friends and family if you end up in a Welcome To Plathville scene on TLC, according to a recent insider, there is an extensive NDA that they had to allegedly sign, including a lot of hoops and stipulations just to be able to be friends with one of the cast members, even if this friend does not end up on camera.
Insider Details Extensive NDA, What Does It Reveal?
There is a copy of the Welcome To Plathville NDA making the rounds online, and it includes several pages of stipulations and other things that anyone who signs it must adhere to.
One particularly interesting requirement is as follows: “If and when I cease engaging with Plath for any reason, or at any time upon request of Plath, I agree to deliver immediately to Plath any and all Confidential Information in my possession, custody or control (including originals and all copies thereof).”
Another example reads: “I further agree that I will not make any defamatory, false, or misleading remarks about the Activities or about Plath or any of her friends, family, business associates or guests or do anything that may harm the reputation of any of them.”
Welcome To Plathville Fans React To Strict NDA
With this recent insider sharing a copy of the NDA, many Welcome To Plathville fans had a lot to say about it, with many doubting that it would actually hold up in court.
- One commenter said: “I totally understand why most people wouldn’t realize how bad this NDA is. But as someone with insight (not a lawyer or student) to law I would never sign this!! Really some of these control tactic should be illegal.”
- Another person said: “Yea, I was gonna say – most of this NDA wouldn’t hold up whatsoever in court if actually challenged. They just count on the fact that most people don’t have the resources to challenge it, or even the knowledge that they can.”
- Even the person who allegedly signed it and shared it gave some additional insight, saying: “It was given to me to sign the day she met me. lol let’s just say I had to sign it for now. More to come once the lawyer looks into ver the validity. I did sign as I didn’t have a choice at the time. If the lawyer says it’s not valid, I’ll clear up everything.”
