Farmer Wants A Wife: Kimberly Williams-Paisley Officially Took Over Hosting Duties
As Farmer Wants A Wife fans saw with the premiere of Season 3 of the popular dating show, Kimberly Williams-Paisley officially took over hosting duties from previous host, Jennifer Nettles. Even though it’s only one episode into the new season, Williams-Paisley certainly held her own, and many watchers are quickly warming up to her as the new person at the helm.
Of course, in addition to spending a lot of time in front of the cameras with a successful acting career, Kimberly is also the wife of country superstar, Brad Paisley. She went through her own journey of a city girl finding love with a country boy and adapting to the country lifestyle, and in this regard, she is perfectly suited for this new gig.
Williams-Paisley Opens Up About Terrifying Health Scare
When you are in front of the cameras as much as Kimberly Williams-Paisley is, and as she has made that her career, using your voice is a huge part of the job description. Whether it’s memorizing lines or reading from a teleprompter, being able to use your voice is crucial.
Recently, the new Farmer Wants A Wife host broke her silence on a horrifying condition that took her voice. According to her, it all started when she was hosting a benefit in Nashville. She told Craig Melvin on Today: “I open my mouth to welcome everybody and nothing came out. I had like, just nothing. My throat was completely clenched.”
She went on to add: “If I got sick, my voice was the first thing to go.” This time was different, however, as she said that this was “the first time it completely went.” Even the day after the benefit, she still “couldn’t really talk.”
Farmer Wants A Wife: What Caused This Situation For Kimberly Williams-Paisley?
It turns out, there was a reason for this loss of her voice for the new Farmer Wants A Wife host. The culprit, as it turned out, was vocal cord paralysis, and it took her a long time to finally get a proper diagnosis. Williams-Paisley said that it took “a year and a half of me trying everything to try to figure this out.”
Eventually, she said that doctors were able to “plump up” her vocal cords using fillers, which allowed them to touch again like a normal set would. Even though she went through this harrowing ordeal, she seems to maintain a sense of humor about the whole thing, as she went on to add that she looks “20 years younger on the inside.” The good news is, she now has a permanent implant, which fixed the issue, and now, she feels “great.”
