Kim Kardashian Worried As Insiders Say North Has Favorite Parent
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West ended their marriage in 2022, opting to share custody of their four children at the time. But as Kanye West’s scandals and online turmoil escalate, Kim Kardashian reportedly wants to reevaluate shared custody.
It’s difficult enough for children to navigate shared custody situations. Losing access to their father would undoubtedly upset the children, even if it’s the best move for their safety and well-being.
While Chicago, Psalm, and Saint may eventually adapt to the situation, those familiar with the family know North West would struggle tremendously.
Kim Kardashian Fights For Custody Despite North’s Close Relationship With Her Father
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian welcomed four children during their marriage. Though most of the world finds West’s behavior atrocious, the children are still very young and just want to spend time with their father. Eleven-year-old North West is particularly close with her father and the situation can’t be easy for the young girl to navigate.
“North loves him,” a source close to West reportedly told Page Six. “I can’t speak for the other kids, but North is definitely Ye’s girl. But it must be scary for Kim.”
While North was visiting West’s home, security notified Kardashian that Tristan and Andrew Tate planned to arrive at the residence. Kim acted quickly and cut North’s visit short. However, Kanye West didn’t react well. Shortly after, he unleashed a social media tirade accusing the entire Kardashian family of human trafficking.
Kim Kardashian is expected to fight for sole custody of the children as West descends into his own world of hysteria and delusion. Sadly, North and her siblings might struggle to understand why they can’t stay with their father. It’s a difficult situation with no winners. But at the end of the day, the Kardashians want to do what’s best for the children.
“He’s obviously not taking his meds, if he was we wouldn’t be here,” the source shared with Page Six. “It’s not getting any better, he’s not a well person, he’s sinking further down and he’s not acting rationally. There’s so much negativity – I don’t think he can come out of this.”
Legal Intervention Might Be Necessary Soon
As TV Shows Ace previously shared, Kim Kardashian is keeping her attorney close as her ex-husband’s behavior escalates. The incident with the Tate brothers was alarming enough. But the Kardashians also aren’t happy that Kanye West has collaborated with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
At this point, it seems the Kardashians feel concerned with the people West allows around the children. But if anyone speaks up, West retaliates against them online and makes the situation worse.
“[Kim] can’t stand when he acts irrational. She wants the kids to spend time with him in a safe environment. She finds it ridiculous that she needs her lawyer on speed dial,” a source close to the Kardashians shared with PEOPLE.
