‘Happy’s Place’ Season 2 Spoilers Teases Bobbie & Emmett Romance
Happy’s Place just wrapped up Season 1 but there are already spoilers and teasers for Season 2. It looks like Bobbie and Emmett’s romance could get on the road. So, what else is in store for the hit NBC sitcom? Keep reading for more details.
Happy’s Place Season 2 Teases Bobbie & Emmett Romance
Season 1 of Happy’s Place was an unexpected hit for NBC. The network had no idea what would happen with the Reba McEntire-helmed sitcom. Yet, it was lightning in a bottle and fans loved seeing Reba reunite with her former sitcom co-star, Melissa Peterman. There were also some exciting guest stars from Reba’s self-titled sitcom such as Steve Howey and Christopher Rich. Adding to the cast is her real-life partner, Rex Linn. It looked like life would imitate art and the characters of Bobbie and Rex might become an item. That did not quite happen in Season 1 but there is some definite potential for that now that the show has been renewed.
The Season 1 finale aired on Friday, March 21st but the cast is ready for another season. In the season finale, Bobbie and Emmett got very close but did not cross the line. Now, co-creator and showrunner, Kevin Abbott is opening up about what could happen between the two when the show returns:
“Yeah, what I’d like the audience to walk away with, what I hope they do, is that we know that they both have feelings for each other and that there’s a possibility there now. Nobody has said whether or not they’ve decided to overcome the possible negatives of being together and the risk that is being taken.”
One person who could help make this Happy’s Place romance a reality is Bobbie’s sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo). The two women help to push each other and that is what Isabella could do to ensure her sister is happy.

Kevin continued with this:
“But that’s what Isabella is there for—to push Bobbie and to push for love. So hopefully, what this does is promise something for season 2 that we’re going to be getting into, not just an episode about this, but it’ll be an arc.”
He added that there needs to be more love in this show as that was what Reba lacked. There were not a lot of heated moments and Kevin admitted he is “fascinated” by Bobbie and Emmett. Fans also seem to love them together:

More Season 2 Surprises
Aside from an Emmett and Bobbie love connection, Happy’s Place promises more excitement and surprises ahead. There is hope for more Reba cast members to make an appearance and one that looks very promising is JoAnna Garcia Swisher. She played Reba McEntire’s daughter, Cheyenne on the six-season sitcom and it is all about her fitting in an appearance:
“We definitely want to bring Joanna [Garcia Swisher] in. We’ve been talking to her. It’s a matter of timing for her.”
There will also be more exploring into the characters and deep diving into their stories. Season 1 was an introductory moment and now there is so much more to be done. Fans are loving the show so far and were thrilled when it got renewed:
