The case involving Kristine and Michael Barnett is known all over the world. Natalia Grace is the reason for this. However, people genuinely do not know what to believe. The case gets confusing and some are not sure which way to lean. However, now people are wondering if Kristine Barnett ever served jail time after getting arrested. Good American Family Comes Out Based On The Case
There is a new show based on the case of Natalia Grace. It is called Good American Family. There are currently two episodes out and more come out each Wednesday on Hulu. Ellen Pompeo plays Kristine Barnett in the show. She is famous for her role as Meredith Grey on Grey’s Anatomy. However, this show is becoming more and more popular. The case gets confusing. Kristine and Michael Barnett adopted what they thought was a seven-year-old girl with dwarfism. However, after the adoption, they got feelings that Natalia was not seven, but older. They got her birth year changed and moved her into her own apartment. Kristine was then arrested for child neglect.

Did Kristine Barnett serve jail time? It seems she was in jail until her trial. However, her charges were dismissed three weeks before the trial was supposed to happen. Kristine spoke on the issue.
“For people wondering if I have been to jail, yes. I was booked into the Tippecanoe County Jail. I faced charges and these same allegations at that time. It was a case that should not have been brought. If there had been any abuse of Natalia or evidence of it, I would have been found guilty of it and I would be in jail. The fact that these false allegations are occurring after a trial with evidence which was dismissed is disturbing . It’s like being assumed guilty after being proven innocent.”
Kristine did not serve any time for a sentence for the crimes. To this day, Michael accuses Kristine of abusing Natalia. However, he does not seem to believe that Natalia was a little girl when they adopted her. The couple has said that Natalia tried to kill them multiple times. Kristine took her to therapy and said she learned Natalia is a “sociopath”.
It seems as though Kristine did serve some time in jail. However, she was never sentenced. The charges ended up being dismissed and she did not get any sentence for the crimes she may or may not have committed. Natalia Grace is present on social media and wants people to learn her side of the story now that she is old enough to tell it. However, the new show based on the case does not make her look good.
