Jason Kelce’s Wife Kylie Mourns Tragic Loss Of Family Member
Kylie and Jason Kelce have just experienced a huge loss in their family. It all started with Kylie making the announcement, and then Jason chimed in as well. As the family is grieving, fans are supportive of the couple. Here is a look at what happened with the couple that has them down and depressed.
Jason Kelce & Kylie Experience Death In The Family
Jason Kelce has been retired from the NFL for two seasons now. He has spent more time at home with his wife, Kylie, and their kids. He has also been busy working with his brother Travis Kelce on their podcast, while Kylie is the head field hockey coach for her former high school.
Kyle took to her Instagram account to let her fans know about a devastating loss for her family. Kylie announced the death of their beloved dog, Baloo. She began her post by saying she had to tell her girls that Baloo was “going to leave us.” When her daughter asked where he was going, Kylie said, “Heaven,” causing daughter Ellie to say he’ll get to see “Winnie again They’ll be so happy to see each other!”
It was a sad start, and then Kylie described their relationship to their beloved dog. Kylie, Jason Kelce, and their daughters, Wyatt, 5, Elliotte “Ellie,” 3, and Bennett, 2, had to say goodbye.
“We were lucky enough to have 7 years with the goofiest, sweetest, most lovable, and tolerant dog I’ve ever met,” she wrote. “He wanted nothing more than carbs and pets. He was a simple guy, held together by bubble gum and paper clips.”
This has been tough since they said goodbye to their Irish Wolfhound, Winnie, who died in March 2024. One year later, Baloo also passed away. “The heartbreak is immense, but as Ellie so perfectly pointed out, the Winnie-Bubba reunion had to be pure magic,” Kylie said.
Jason Kelce and Kylie had adopted Winnie and Baloo before Wyatt was born. They even joked that Wyatt called Winnie her older brother. The family still has a dog, Nessie, an Irish Wolfhound puppy, in their house.

Kylie shared a story about being pregnant with her second child, and Wyatt said, “Well, you had a baby before me,” referring to Winnie (via Us Weekly). It was clear that Winnie and Baloo were more than just pets. They were members of their family.

When Winnie died, Kylie wrote, “I lost part of my soul today, but I know she is at peace. I love you, Winn. You will always be my firstborn child.” Now, with Baloo gone, they are mourning again.
