Blake Shelton’s Emotional Song Causes Executive To Have Heart Attack

Blake Shelton’s music has made an impression on many people around the world. Recently, a song from one of Shelton’s upcoming albums has already been noted for creating emotional reactions. It’s even come to light that an executive recently had a surprising reaction to The Voice coach’s songs.
Many Have Already Had Emotional Reactions To Blake Shelton’s New Song, Including Gwen Stefani
Shelton is a prominent country singer and television personality, starting his career in the early 2000s. In his personal life, Shelton is also known for his marriage to singer Gwen Stefani.
Notably, Shelton has served as a coach on The Voice over the years, appearing from 2011 to 2023. However, he still continues to release music over the years. In fact, one recent song of his is known for already making an impact.

As noted by American Songwriter, Shelton knew that his song “Let Him in Anyway,” would be special. The song, which describes praying for the soul of a lost loved one, appears on his upcoming album, “For Recreational Use Only.”
As the lyrics share, “Hey, God| I know you know what I’m ’bout to pray, God| I just had to suck it up and say goodbye to my best friend| And I don’t ever wanna never see him again|.”
“And I know the only way to get in is through you| And he wasn’t quite the Christian he was supposed to be| And Lord, it ain’t my place| But could you let him in any way?”
North America President Jon Loba recently spoke about the song, noting how various listeners had different reactions after hearing it. He noted Shelton’s wife, singer Gwen Stefani, had a very emotional reaction.
Loba shared, “They were headed out for some event, and she had all her makeup on. She cried the first time she heard it. Then she played it again and cried and played it again and cried. [Blake told her,] ‘Sweetie, you gotta get yourself together. We gotta go to this event.’”
An Executive Had A Shocking Reaction Who Recently Lost A Loved One
However, Stefani wasn’t the only one to have such a powerful reaction to the song. As Loba revealed, he shared the song with Chris Oglesby, Sr. VP of Creative at BMG.
Originally planning to play the song to a larger group first, Loba wanted to check on Oglesby, who recently shared the eulogy at his brother-in-law’s funeral. At the time, Oglesby’s sister was especially thinking about her husband’s place in Heaven.

Loba noted, “He starts to bawl his eyes out. I bawl my eyes out. He says thank you and leaves.” It was noted Oglesby also got to listen to the song a second time after Loba played it for another staff member.
Loba noted that Oglesby appeared to have left the room without him knowing. Sometime later, he learned that Oglesby drove himself to the hospital after he believed he was having a heart attack.
Loba tried to call Oglesby to tell him to pull over, only to learn he was already at a medical center. He shared, “He was, in fact, having a heart attack. They put two stents in, and they waited two weeks and put two more stents in.”
Oglesby later shared with Loba that he had a few flutters in his heart over the week, but felt the song brought him over the edge. Loba joked, “Luckily, not too far over the edge. The good news now is he’s in great shape and feels better than ever.”
