Wendy Williams Free, Driving Streets Of NY, Giving Life Updates
Fans have noted that things seem to be looking up for Wendy Williams amid her guardianship, with the former talk show host recently being seen out and about in New York. In fact, Williams herself has shared some recent life updates with fans. This notably comes out as a few other figures have recently shared recent conversations with Williams.
Wendy Williams Could Be Seen Having Lunch With Friends This Past Friday
Williams, the former host of The Wendy Williams Show, walked away from the series, and public life, in 2021. Since then, and following a frontotemporal dementia diagnosis, she has been living under a guardianship within a New York assisted living facility.
However, it’s been noted that Williams has been looking good lately. Notably, this past Friday, she was seen having lunch with friends in Midtown.
Recently, Williams spoke with Page Six to share a few life updates. As she shared, “I am fabulous. I’m better than good, but have been accused to being otherwise.”
Williams also expressed hope that her current guardianship would soon end. She noted, “I am very much alive. I deserve freedom, darling.”
After receiving some compliments about her figure, Williams took it in good humor. She noted, “I got the liposuction and breast implants when I was 31. I’m 60 now and my body’s holding up well!”
Williams, however, wasn’t able to directly answer direct questions about her guardianship. She referred such questions to her advocate, Ginalisa Monterroso, who shared, “Don’t believe everything you read.”
As previously reported, Williams appears to have been getting out more as of late. Recently, members of the radio podcast series, The Breakfast Club, with whom Williams has spoken with about her guardianship, talked about going to dinner with the former talk show host.

Various Other Figures Have Also Discussed Their Recent Conversations With Wendy Williams
The publication also notably spoke with different sources who claimed to have had recent spoken with Williams. One source claimed, “She sounded like the old Wendy Williams to me.”
The insider continued, “It was a long funny emotional conversation. It’s hard to believe she has dementia and aphasia.”
“The last time I spoke to her was two years ago and she was wasted. She was drinking every day. But now she seems fine, she’s sober, and she wanted to gossip about the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’”
Suzanne Bass, who served as an executive producer for The Wendy Williams Show, also shared, “[Wendy] sounds fantastic.” Notably, Bass recently helped arrange Williams’ recent pre-taped conversation on The View, which marked the former talk show host’s return to daytime television.
Bass also noted, “My mother has dementia. Wendy doesn’t. Wendy does get emotional when we talk but it’s understandable. She sees life going on without her. It’s a horrible situation.”
“This is a very famous woman on top of the world who is living in a memory-care unit and doesn’t have access to any of her stuff and her money. A lot of hype going on but she still sits there.”
