QVC’s Mary Beth Roe Retires After Almost 40 Years With Show

Mary Beth Roe hosted her final show with QVC after around 37 years as a host on the shopping network. During an emotional two-hour show, Roe shared her reasons for leaving. All the while, the event proved to be an emotional one, as she received touching tributes from family and co-workers.
Mary Beth Roe Has Spent Nearly Four Decades With QVC
Roe had been a host on QVC since 1987. Her debut sale with the network had been a 14K gold herringbone necklace, the start of near 40 years working with QVC.
However, Roe’s final day with the shopping network had been this past Friday. Notably, QVC celebrated her final day with a big retirement special, My Time with Mary Beth — Retirement Celebration.

Speaking with Us Weekly, Roe shared, “Everything in the show tonight is something that I chose and it really is special.” She noted, “The people that are here tonight are super special to me.”
Aided by QVC host Rick Domeier, Roe made her final QVC sales. This included “a Dooney and Bourke tote, Philosophy shower gels, Diamonique jewelry and Corky’s BBQ seasoned wings.”
At one moment, Roe presented Valerie Parr Hill’s illuminated prayer garden mini hurricanes. During this, she discussed her own personal faith.
Roe noted, “When you do trust Him and you follow Him, then the joy of the Lord is your strength.” She continued, “Yes, it’s been hard. I cried several times today, but I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He the Lord wants me to retire. I have such a peace and joy about it.”
According to QVC’s website, Roe’s personal motto similarly reads, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”
After Making Her Final Sales, Roe Was Given One Last Final Toast
Roe first revealed she would be retiring this past 2024. At the time, she noted it was a “tough decision,” sharing she used to her faith to guide her.
As Roe previously told the publication, she noted, “I have four grandkids, and I don’t want to regret missing out on their lives because I spent another year or two working.” She continued, “Plus, I always said to myself I will never leave my team until I feel like my team is strong and cohesive and just a great team of hosts, and it is right now.”

During the two-hour show, Roe received calls from around the country. Through it all, she received words of praise from longtime fans.
As one caller shared, “God bless you and your family.” She continued, “I love you Mary Beth even though I don’t really know you. I feel like I do.” In addition, Roe also listened to pr-taped messages from family and other QVC alumni.
Towards the end, Roe shared the following message to fans. She continued, “You’ve just been so kind and generous and loving to me, and that has meant so much.”
“I also want you to do something for me. If you really want to honor my legacy here at QVC, I want you to keep watching. I want you to keep shopping. … I know I’m definitely going to continue shopping here.”
Roe then received a final toast from Domeier with her husband by her side. He shared, “You’ve never forgotten that the most important people are the QVC customers.”
“We won’t forget the impact you’ve had over the last 37 years on everyone who’s come through these doors and your kindness and love. To the next chapter.”
