My 600-Lb Life star Melissa Marescot is one of many patients of Dr. Now who went through a difficult childhood. She dealt with so much emotional pain. She was verbally abused by her mother and got pregnant at the age of 15. Things got worse when Melissa decided to have an abortion, especially when it came to her psychological health.

She resorted to food as her source of happiness. However, Melissa’s unhealthy relationship with food made her balloon to 592 pounds. She became unemployed due to her lifestyle. Melissa’s rough past didn’t stop her from pursuing her goals. The My 600-Lb Life star committed to Dr. Now’s weight loss regimens and quickly lost enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery. Melissa dropped 152 pounds and also went through therapy to battle her depression. Melissa refused to give up her life in Florida when she was asked to move to Houston to get monitored by Dr. Now and his team much easier. Her last reported weight was 440 pounds. Melissa has been on and off social media. But she recently made a return, seemingly hinting that she’s still on the right track.

What Happened To Melissa?

Melissa Marescot became more active on social media in recent months. Many of the My 600-Lb Life star’s posts today are positive messages and clips of random people showing their workout routines. It shows that she’s still inspired to pursue her physical goals. It’s unclear if she is employed today. But Melissa uses her TV fame to endorse different businesses.

She currently lives in Queens, New York, and her social media bio indicates that she’s still single. Melissa has yet to share her current weight. But one of her last photos in September 2024 indicates that she’s now much healthier. It also shows that she can now travel more and hang out with her friends outdoors.

My 600-Lb Life: Melissa Marescot Has Been More Health Conscious

Some of Melissa’s social media posts also show her healthy meals. Last month, the My 600-Lb Life star uploaded a photo of her lunch which consisted of yellow and orange peppers, yellow onions, garlic, and herbs. It’s cooked along with spinach, tomatoes, turkey, kielbasa, sausages, and eggs. She also had avocado for her side dish. Melissa has also shared photos of her chicken meals this month. Unfortunately, she still hasn’t uploaded a photo of herself this year.

Melissa Marescot has yet to film a return episode, but TLC is currently releasing Where Are They Now? specials for some of Dr. Now’s past patients. At this point, fans can only hope that Melissa will get invited to share details about her current progress.
