Robin Roberts Feuding With Good Morning America Host?
The relationship between Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan on Good Morning America seems as strong as ever. However, a source claims that Robin’s relationship with co-host George Stephanopoulos is another story. The source indicates there is a feud between the two, and they are not getting along at all.
While a feud is just rumored right now, the source said things are not good between Robin and George when they are filming together. One source said that George, 64, would rather play on his phone during breaks and refuses to even look at Robin, 64, during these moments (via Breaker Media).
“The chill between colleagues — on and off camera — is best summed up by the fact that George Stephanopoulos stares down at his phone on the set of GMA and plays chess instead of talking to, or even looking at, his co-host Robin Roberts,” the source claims. George Stephanopoulos Wanting Out At Good Morning America
One thing that could explain George Stephanopoulos’ attitude is that he is rumored to have mentally checked out on Good Morning America. Reports indicate that he is ready to leave and biding his time until he can finally break from the morning talk show. It likely has nothing to do with Robin Roberts personally.
Rumors indicate that George ended up humiliated when he had to make public apologies when he made comments surrounding President Donald Trump’s legal case. ABC paid $15 million to Trump as an apology for George misspeaking. He said Trump was “found liable for rape.” That was incorrect.
Since then, reports indicate that George has been “miserable” at Good Morning America. He remains embarrassed by the situation, and many people say he wants to leave the morning talk show. Reports also suggest that he has mostly shut himself off from many people at GMA since then, which could explain the distance with Robin Roberts.
“George seems miserable,” a source said. “He’s definitely gone. He’s a dead man walking for sure.”
