Farmer Wants A Wife Season 3 is officially underway, and already, viewers think there is some production meddling when it comes to new lady, Samantha. So, did producers purposely plant her among the ladies to stir the pot and add drama to the new scenes?
Farmer Wants A Wife Season 3 Is Officially Underway
After all the hype and all of the teasers leading up to it, Season 3 of Farmer Wants A Wife is officially underway. Not only did viewers get to officially meet the farmers, but, the farmers also got to meet the single ladies for the first time, as they had their first opportunity to go on dates and get to know each other.
This was a critical time for all of the farmers, because, after these initial dates, each farmer had to cut three of the women, as they could only bring five of the eight singles back to the farm. Based on what viewers have seen, some people feel that producers had a heavy hand in influencing one particular outcome.
Did Producers Intentionally Plant Samantha For Drama?
Farmer John Sansone comes across as a soft-spoken, easy-going guy. So, when he encountered “bossy” Samantha, who lives in Dallas and works in sales, her no-nonsense approach was a stark contrast to his seemingly easy-going nature.
While it’s true that opposites sometimes attract, many Farmer Wants A Wife fans feel that there was some production meddling involved when it came to this particular match, specifically for the sake of adding drama. Not only was Samantha chosen as one of the women to go back to John’s farm, but, he also chose her for the first solo date, where she gets a full 24 hours with him before the other ladies have a chance.
Before the decision was made, Samantha said point-blank that if she was not chosen for the first solo date, she would “walk.” The fact that she was chosen after saying this leads many Farmer Wants A Wife fans to believe that Samantha was intentionally put there by producers to add drama.

One episode into the new season of Farmer Wants A Wife, viewers already have a lot to say about Samantha. Many can’t understand the attraction, as she essentially came out of the gate hurling insults and putting John Sansone down. While he may appreciate the novelty of “the challenge” she brings, a lot of people see this schtick getting old fast.
- One commenter said: “What did you think of Samantha? I didn’t understand why he liked her bossy attitude.”
- A second person chimed in, adding: “I think the producers want the drama. Does anyone think they actually tell the guys to pick their top four, then pick one that will bring the drama? I often wonder.”
- A third person said: “I thought the same thing at the time! but then he picked her for the first solo date…. I cannot comprehend what would lead anyone to be enamored by her.”
