The Welcome To Plathville Star Shared News Of His New Relationship Earlier This Year
Welcome to Plathville fans know Ethan as the oldest of Barry and Kim’s children. Back in October 2018, he married a photographer named Olivia.
However, the two announced they would split five years. The couple filed for divorce in 2024.
Earlier this year, Ethan debuted a new love in his life on social media. On New Year’s Day, 2025, he wrote, “Proud to introduce my sweet girlfriend!”
“She truly is one of the sweetest, kindest, and patient people I’ve ever known! Looking forward to the next year and what it has to bring. Wishing everyone a very happy new year! Here we go 2025!”
At the time, Ethan did not reveal her name or even how they met. In the carousel post, however, he did share a variety of photos of the two together. Notably, Ethan could be seen going from clean-shaven to sporting a beard throughout the photos, as if to suggest a long passage of time.
Taking to the comments, many fans were happy for Ethan, while others hoped he had done some growing since his previous relationship with Olivia. A few commenters, as previously reported, even noted that they thought Ethan’s new girlfriend also resembled Olivia.

In the comments, one fan started off a conversation writing, “Hope she is prepared to be a trad wife.” This inspired a response from Ethan himself. As he simply wrote, “Oh, yeah.”
This spurred a conversation among fans, especially those who didn’t know what a “trad wife” was. As one fan shared, “A ‘tradwife’ is a woman who embraces a traditional gender role, typically involving: Staying home, keeping house, having children, and being subservient to her husband.”

Some fans also came to Ethan’s defense, feeling that there was nothing inherently wrong with being a “trad wife,” as long as that’s what the wife wants.
