‘Family Feud’ Contestant Arrested, Charged With Child Sexual Abuse

A contestant who appeared on Family Feud has been arrested on charges of child sexual abuse. He and another man were arrested with charges connected to a school. Notably, the contestant had appeared during a transitional time in the game show’s history.
The Family Feud Contestant Was Arrested Over Charges Concerning Abuse At A School
The contestant and another man were arrested and charged with several felonies connected to alleged abuse at a school in Wilmington, Delaware. It is believed they had worked at the school in the mid-1990s before being removed from the post.
The contestant notably appeared during Steve Harvey’s first season hosting Family Feud. Not only did his family end up winning, he even managed to participate in the “Fast Money” challenge.

According to TMZ, the contestant was identified as Christopher Crisona. He and the other man, Father John Taggart, were arrested over charges connected to Wilmington’s St. Thomas the Apostle School.
According to the publication, the Delaware Attorney General’s Office claimed Crisona worked at the school and alleged he was removed from the position following a student complaint. Taggart has reportedly been accused of abusing the same person involved in the complaint concerning Crisona. The victim was reportedly in their 7th and 8th grade years at the school at the time.

According to the attorney general’s office, Crisona is currently working in Florida as an elementary school teacher. He has been charged with multiple crimes, such as, according to TMZ, “unlawful sexual contact, unlawful sexual intercourse, unlawful sexual penetration, and continuous sexual abuse of a child.”
Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings also issued the following statement: “The State’s indictment alleges a pattern of gravely serious abuse against a juvenile by two adults in a position of trust. As prosecutors, and as parents, these kinds of cases keep us up at night — but they also give us purpose.”

“The victim in this case suffered profound trauma over a period of years and deserves justice. I’m grateful to the police, prosecutors, and social workers who have been critical to this investigation and who are committed to getting justice.”
The attorney general’s office’s statement also listed a few other schools Crisona had worked for over the years. This included “St. Matthew’s in Wilmington (1999), Corpus Christi (1999), and St. Hedwig’s (2000),” in addition to his more recent job at the Florida elementary school.
On the game show, Crisona appeared back in 2010, just as Steve Harvey started his hosting duties for the show. As mentioned, his family won, with Crisona himself earning 64 points during the “Fast Money” segment. The family ultimately fell short of winning $20K, earning 197 out of 200 points.
