‘Days Of Our Lives’ Peter Reckell Wants To Come Back Full-Time
Peter Reckell is known for his work on Days of Our Lives. One fan recently paid tribute to the actor on social media and found themselves getting a response from Reckell himself. Reckell even mused what his Days future could be.
Peter Reckell First Appeared On Days Of Our Lives In 1983
To many soap fans, Reckell is arguably best known for playing Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives. Having originated the role, Reckell initially appeared as the character from 1983 to 1987.
The actor would return to the soap in 1990 and play the character on and off over the years. He also portrayed the character in a few spin-offs, such as Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.
On the soap, Bo functions as is the son of Victor Kiriakis and Caroline Brady. He is known for a variety of relationships on the soap, including with Hope Williams, Carly Manning, and Billie Reed. In true soap fashion, recent years of the soap and its spin-offs have seen the character go through storylines including a coma and a resurrection.
While Bo is probably one of Reckell’s more prominent roles, he’s appeared on a few other soaps over the years. This includes As the World Turns early in his career and the primetime soap, Knots Landing.
A fan recently paid tribute to Reckell in a recent post on X, formerly Twitter. As they noted, Reckell worked with a variety of talent over the years and suggested that he pay it forward with a new generation of actors.
The fan wrote, “Not many young actors have had the opportunity to work with professionals of this quality, now passed, in their first couple of years. Peter Reckell did. Would be great for him, a full circle moment, if he could fulfil that role now, with all the younger actors on the #Days set.”
The Actor Himself Responded To The Fan’s Days Of Our Lives Tribute
Included in the post was a college of Reckell surround by other Days of Ours Live alumni. This included the likes of Frances Reid and Bill Hayes.
Reckell himself ended up responding to the post himself. The actor revealed he agreed with the fan’s sentiment. As he shared, “I would love [to] be a regular on the show and join the talented veterans there.”

Taking to the comments, many fans responded to Reckell’s own reply. A few of them noted how they tuned in to watch the soap to see Reckell’s performance over the years. Some comments included:
