Lala Kent Reveals ‘Trauma’ With Daughter Ocean

Vanderpump Rules star, Lala Kent is revealing “trauma” with her eldest child, Ocean, whom she shares with ex-fiance, Randall Emmett. Her daughter freaked her out when she took baby nail trimmers and cut her own hair. So, what is Ocean doing now to freak out Lala? Keep reading for more details.

When former Vanderpump Rules star, Lala Kent announced she was expecting her first child, she was thrilled. She was glowing in her pregnancy and stunned in her maternity photos. Lala also had a partner, her fiance, Randall Emmett. He had been controversial given that he was still married when he pursued Lala and then, things calmed down and he proposed. They welcomed their first child in March 2021 and the truth ended up coming out about her labor and delivery. Randall was supposedly sleeping in another room at the hospital while she was in labor. When he finally came in for the delivery, he was not so kind to Lala.

Around a year later, Randall was caught cheating, Lala called it quits and the two were embroiled in a custody battle. Lala admitted she did not trust anyone after and was even skeptical of the guys her friends brought around. Now, her custody dispute has been resolved after three years but it “trauma bonded” her to Ocean. She explained this in a post because it was just her and her daughter when Randall was gone. Furthermore, she always felt like she was in “fight mode” with Ocean

That has since changed now that she has welcomed her second daughter, Sosa in September 2024. She spilled the tea on former Vanderpump Rules co-star, Brittany Cartwright’s podcast, When Reality Hits. Since Lala Kent had Sosa on her own, with the help of a donor and IUI, this baby is all hers. This was why she did not want a partner involved because she was so broken from Randall. Did anyone feel bad for Lala regarding her relationship with Ocean?

Keep It To Yourself

Vanderpump Rules fans felt that Lala Kent needed to keep her feelings to herself. Although how she felt toward Ocean was valid, there are some things that need to stay private. They worried how it would impact Ocean in the long run if she were to see this. Would it cause more damage than good?

• You can have feelings about things but when you have kids you might not want to put them in print it just feels messy especially when that kid reads it and starts to think they were the reason for your trauma – you can tell them they weren’t but teens or early adult years they might not believe it
• Lala needs to save her feelings about her kids for close friends, when they’re not around, or to a therapist.

Then, others did not like her using the phrase “trauma bond” as they did not think she understood what it meant:

• Another dumbell who doesn’t know what a trauma bond actually is.
• If her child is trauma bonded to her, it means she is the abuser in the relationship. Let’s all hope she’s just incorrectly using words.
