Jenna Bush Hager Boozes It Up On ‘Today’
Jenna Bush Hager celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with Willie Geist on the Today Show. The two celebrated with a St. Patrick’s classic, a pint of Guinness. After watching a clip of Niall Horan teaching Ed Sheeran the tradition of “Splitting the G” on the Guinness cup, the two anchors decided to try the challenge themselves. Jenna Bush Hager Competes In Drinking Challenge
Jenna Bush Hager and Willie Geist celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by competing against each other in a popular drinking challenge on the Today Show. The pair first got the idea from watching Niall Horan teach Ed Sheeran the tradition of “Splitting the G.” The challenge involves a traditional glass of Guinness. The goal of the challenge is to drink the Irish stout in one long first sip until the level of the foam alligns with the middle of the G on the Guinness logo. Jenna and Willie attempted to complete the challenge on Today With Jenna & Friends.
The two challenged each other to “Split the G” while doing the St. Patrick’s Day segment. The anchors attempted to drink a pint of Guinness until they accurately completed the challenge. Things took a turn when Jenna spilled Guinness on herself during the broadcast. Bush Hager insisted that she was not going to be able to complete the challenge, but Willie cheered her on, saying she was a “Veteran.” Jenna Bush Hager joked, “I’m gonna try and make my mom proud,” and she said, “Laura, this is for you.” However, in the process, Jenna spilled beer all over her dress and couldn’t complete the challenge. Geist reacted, “Oh no. Does anyone have a mop or a tarp we can put down? Let’s help you out here. Oh, Jenna.”
Jenna Bush Hager Spills Beer On Herself On Air
The production team rushed over to Jenna Bush Hager as she spilled Guinness all over herself. The Today Show host said, “Wait, what just happened? My body couldn’t take it.” Willie Geist explained that the foam on the Irish stout could be to blame. Jenna said, “My body couldn’t take it. My body just rejected that.” Willie was up next to complete the drinking challenge. Jenna warned him, “That is not easy, and I thought I had all of the beer moves saved up.”
Willie Geist was also unable to “Split the G” on his pint of Guinness. He did get closer to his goal than Bush Hager did. She exclaimed, “I just can’t believe someone can do that. This is shocking to me. This is shocking to me, what I just witnessed.” The cohosts had a great time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and challenging each other to split the G on their pint of Guinness. Hopefully, next time, Jenna can keep it off her outfit.
