Married At First Sight: Emem Obot Had A Terrible Match With Ikechi
As Married at First Sight fans have seen over the last handful of seasons, the so-called experts have matched genuine people on the show with duds. This was exactly the case during Season 18 in Chicago, when the experts paired Emem Obot with Ikechi.
As Married at First Sight fans saw, the interactions between these two turned toxic rather quickly, as many fans called Ikechi out for gaslighting behavior, and many other labels under the sun, like calling him a narcissist and more. It surprised no one when these two did not last for the long haul.
MAFS: Emem Shocked Viewers With Surprising New Romance
There have been so many twists and turns this season on Married at First Sight. The cheating scandal between David Trimble and Madison Myers turned the whole season upside down. However, even Emem had a card up her sleeve following things not working out with Ikechi.
It turns out, Emem found a spark with a man named Brandon Williams, an old classmate whom she reconnected with. It did not take long for Brandon to pop the question, and Emem agreed. While this may seem like the pair is moving way too fast, they both seem comfortable with the pace that they are going.

Based on teasers for the second part of the Married at First Sight Season 18 reunion, it seems Brandon Williams is taking that early engagement energy and completely running with it. Speaking of his relationship with Emem, he says: “It was a leap of faith, and we had a long night, a long fun night, as I think I get that. The next morning, the pillow talk after and everything, I opened up to her or laid everything on the ground for her, and because at the end of the day, I’m here for Emem.”
Brandon Williams then makes a shocking request of Married at First Sight expert, Pastor Calvin Roberson following this spicy night with Emem and the realizations he came to in the aftermath. Brandon ups the ante even more, as he makes a plea to the expert, saying: “I love Emem, I would love for you to marry me and Emem right now, today, sometime. I want to leave on a plane today saying I have a wife.”
A shocked Cal responds with: “Wow, just wow.”
Married at First Sight fans will have to tune in for the second part of the reunion to see what happens next.
