What We Know About Pat Sajak’s Big ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Return

Pat Sajak announced his retirement from Wheel of Fortune before last season. That was so he could have his final season hosting the show before he moved on to retirement. He planned to do acting and other things once he left, but things have been changing. There are rumors he never wanted to retire, and now he wants to come back to the daytime game show.
Here is what you need to know about Pat’s possible return and when fans should see him next on Wheel of Fortune.
Pat Sajak Is Returning To Wheel Of Fortune
When Pat Sajak announced his retirement tour two years ago, fans knew they had one more season to enjoy his tenure on Wheel of Fortune. When the season ended, it was time to prepare for Ryan Seacrest. Many fans welcomed Ryan with open arms, as he brought youth to the show.

However, other fans never wanted Ryan on the show. They have ripped into every mistake that he has made. They were insulting him before his first episode ever aired. Now that sources claim Pat Sajak was forced out, they are taking that out on Ryan as well. Those fans want Pat back.
The good news is that Pay is coming back – just not to the main show. When Pat announced his retirement, he also said he would host one last season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. It has been filmed, but it has not aired yet. One episode aired in December, but that was it.
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune Season 5 aired the Christmas-themed episode on December 2. Now, fans are waiting to see when the rest of the season will air. According to the network, they didn’t want to air it during football season because they didn’t want it preempted. Football season has ended, but it is still nowhere to be seen on the schedule (via Parade).
Now, it seems Pat Sajak will be back in April or May, as ABC plans to pair Celebrity Wheel of Fortune with Jeopardy! Masters.
Will Pat Sajak Replace Ryan Seacrest On Main Wheel Of Fortune?
There are also major rumors that some people at the studio want Pat Sajak back and Ryan Seacrest gone. Pat reportedly never wanted to retire, and he wants his old job back.

However, Ryan has signed a long-term contract with the studio. It does have an exit after two years if they decide to end it, but there is little chance Pat could be back next season. It seems like Ryan will continue to host the show and see if he can keep the ratings up. For now, Pat has the celebrity show, and anything more is a wait and see deal.
