‘The Kardashians’ Makes Fans Question Authenticity
Most reality TV shows are partially scripted. What happens is mostly true in shows like Gold Rush and Deadliest Catch, but there are moments added in editing to increase the drama. However, on shows like The Real Housewives and The Alaskan Bush People, the amount of scripting versus reality is often highly debated. Now, people are asking about The Kardashians.
Here is what fans think about Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and their family when it comes to what is real and what is scripted.
Is The Kardashians Scripted?
The Kardashians have been on television for many years. It all started after Kim Kardashian’s leaked sex tape put the family in the public eye. However, sources suspected the family leaked the tape and used it to achieve their initial reality TV success. From that time, fans knew that much of what happened in the reality TV show’s family was pre-planned and possibly scripted.
Recently, on social media, fans began to talk about the show and why it is easy to believe that things are not really as they appear.
- One person wrote, “I may be late to have this realization but I was rewatching some episodes for background noise. It feels like a planned PR narrative and marketing strategy. That is frankly genius almost. Anyone else think so?”
- A second person had a personal story about another reality show. They wrote, “Every reality show is scripted. My brother was on a home renovation / list your home for sale type of show. The whole show was scripted. Each member of the family got lines to say and how to act them out.”
- Another explained what they see happening on the show, writing, “The whole thing is scripted, staged and edited to hell. You’re not even seeing events in chronological order and some scenes have been re-shot like someone’s reaction to some dramatic event.
Fans Tiring Of The Kardashians On TV
It seems that many fans are getting tired of seeing The Kardashians on TV. This has also spread to social media. Kourtney Kardashian has started getting more and more hate. This is from both fans believing she is scamming them to the protests recently where her friends wanted toxic waste dumped on poor people.
There also seem to be thoughts that the family is tired of the reality TV world and has been slowly backing out of it. While this might not be Kris’s plan as the momager, Kim and Kourtney have been slowly backing out. Khloe only seems to be half in, especially after the recent mess with her televised reunion with former husband Lamar Odom.
For years, the family has been on television, and most episodes have product placement for their own business interests. The sisters are all making a lot of money for simple social media posts. With their kids getting older, it seems the need is no longer there.
