Wendy Williams Refuses To Leave Hospital, Lawyer Files Petition
The ongoing attempts to get talk show host Wendy Williams released from the senior care facility she’s been residing at are getting more intense. On Monday, Williams was transported to a local hospital to have a mental evaluation by a physician who is in no way connected to the facility she has been kept at. After the evaluation, they wanted to transport her back to the facility and Wendy along with her attorney refused. Now, the lawyer is filing another petition to try and get some things changed. Wendy Williams Refused To Go Back To Care Facility
Talk show host Wendy Williams refused to go back to the senior care facility where she has been being held in a locked memory care unit. She has referred to the place as a “luxury prison.” Now, Wendy’s attorney has filed a petition to have her relocated to a different facility.
The Sun shared more about the battle currently going on between Williams and her guardian Sabrina Morrissey. On Monday, NYPD went to the facility to do a welfare check on Wendy after she reportedly threw a note out of the window pleading for help.
Upon arrival at the facility, Williams was transported by ambulance to a local hospital to undergo an evaluation. Just last month, Williams’s guardian agreed to allow another evaluation to take place. However, Morrissey wanted a physician at the current facility to do the eval. Wendy refused and wants it performed by someone not associated with the care center. The new eval also came as part of an Adult Protective Services case filed last week.
At the hospital, Wendy passed the evaluation with flying colors. This is one more step in the pursuit of her freedom. Williams had two attorneys working on her case to end the guardianship but fired one after they failed to submit documents to get her released.
Her current attorney is working on filing another petition to get her moved to a safer location instead of returning to the memory care unit at the senior facility. The new petition alleges the facility she’s been at is “unsafe.”
This new petition happened after Wendy refused to leave the hospital last night. Of course, Morrissey objected and wanted her moved last night. However, hospital staff kept her overnight.
Her Guardian Is Not Happy With The Way Things Are Going
Sabrina Morrissey is not happy with the way things are going. An insider reportedly shared that Morrissey attempted to interfere with Wendy Williams’s evaluation on Monday although it’s unclear exactly how.
The insider went on to say that Wendy’s “civil rights and liberty are being denied.” They feel Morrissey is wasting Wendy’s money and overall the guardianship is a form of “elder abuse.”
Gina Monterroso is the one who opened the case at Adult Protective Services (APS) to try and help Wendy. It was shared that since there were disagreements about Wendy’s care between the guardian and lawyers, the doctor administering the new evaluation had to get clearance from their legal department to perform the service.
This new information provided by Gina was shared on The Breakfast Club podcast on Tuesday morning. It was also shared that Wendy is still planning to appear on The View this Friday.

Wendy doesn’t deserve being isolated like this not around her people (black) , her family, the people who got some skin in the game, slavery is over, her money should not be controlled by no one but blood. her son is her heir an as one as his mommas ok he should call the shots, he knows her best
What is the motive of her guardian? There is no way her reason would be to protect Ms. Williams or her money! Her reasons and motives should be looked at and evaluated under investigation. Wendy has passed every test, her senior care memory staff said there is absolutely nothing wrong with her memory, now an independent doctor said there is nothing wrong mentally either so why is she not in control of her own life or life decisions especially when they are so against her like that. Let the public do something for her to help her, Ms. Williams is a public figure and the public doesn’t like unfairness nor corruption or controlling so if it can happen to a celebrity it can definitely happen to anyone. May God be with you against this devil Morrissey.
