During a recent conversation with The Breakfast Club, Wendy Williams shared an update concerning recent stories about her. This included her recent hospitalization and police escort. She also talked about an upcoming planned appearance on The View.
Wendy Williams Has Frequently Talked With The Breakfast Club Over The Past Few Months
Former talk show host Wendy Williams has been living under a guardianship following a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. She has currently been living at a New York assisted living facility.
Recently, Williams made headlines when she recently escorted to a hospital, complete with police escorting her to the ambulance. Notably, during treatments, the star later passed a competency exam with a perfect score.

Over the past few months, Williams has spoken out about her current situation with various outlets, notably the radio podcast series, The Breakfast Club. Williams recently appeared on the series once more to share an update with fans concerning the hospital story.
While on the show, Williams shared, “I’m exhausted, I wanted to go to the hospital to talk to the doctor.” Williams’ caregiver, identified by TMZ as Ginalisa Monterroso, added that they were trying to start a kind of “motion into this case.” During the podcast, Monterroso was also identified as the president of the Connect Care Advisory Group.
Monterroso shared that she did two things to move things forward. This included writing a letter to Adult Protective Services and calling the police.
Williams added, “Listen. Two police showed up at the Coterie and so I was telling them, you know, the same and the next thing you know, there are two more police. So, there are four in total.” Monterroso then pleaded with police, asking to take Wendy off the floor, saying, “She is confined.”
Wendy Williams Also Addressed The Story Of A Note Dropped Outside The Window
Williams added that she shared, “I am not incapacitated, as I’ve been accused. And this floor that I live on is the memory unit. The people who live there don’t remember anything unlikely me. Like, why am I here? What is going on?”
Williams also discussed the story of a note reportedly dropped out of window. She noted that she saw a photographer outside and asked Monterroso if she should write something.

Williams even shared that she waved at someone. However, they denied that the note had anything to do with the police, saying it was their calls that brought them on the scene.
Williams Also Talked About A Planned Appearance On The View
Williams and Monterroso emphasized the importance of using an independent doctor, emphasizing the importance of going to a hospital. Allegedly, staff initially wanted Williams to be treated by an on-site nurse or staff member.
Williams also claimed to have called up her lawyer, who told her they would meet her at the hospital. It was also claimed that Sabrina Morrissey was at the hospital.
However, it was denied that Morrissey said anything to Williams. Later in the interview, Williams also claimed that her guardian gave her lawyer the wrong address to the hospital.
The competency exam that Williams took was also brought up. Williams noted this included questions like when her birthday was or who the president is.
Monterroso also addressed claims on whether the exam couldn’t be used by the court. She shared, “That’s actually false. That’s a medical exam done by an independent doctor by a very well-known hospital. You can use that for the court.”
Williams and Monterroso also claimed that Williams is still planning to keep her planned appearance on The View. As Williams shared, “Listen, I’ve been to The View several times in life. It’s nice. I enjoy The View.”
