Scott Peterson Beat Up & Assaulted In California Prison

Scott Peterson, who was convicted for the murder of his wife back in 2004, was recently assaulted while in prison. According to reports, this came about following a game of pickleball. Notably, this story comes out as Peterson was recently the subject of a Peacock documentary series.
Peterson Has Been Behind Bars At Mule Creek State Prison Near Sacramento
Back in 2004, Peterson was found guilty for the murder of his wife, Laci, who was eight months pregnant at the time. The incident allegedly took place on Christmas Eve of 2002.
Peterson had originally claimed that Laci was missing. However, her remains, as well as the body of their unborn child Conner, were found in the San Francisco Bay.

The case ended up inspiring widespread attention in the media. Peterson was originally sentenced to death.
However, in 2020, Peterson’s conviction was overturned, with his sentence chanced to life in prison without parole. Currently, he is being held at Mule Creek State Prison, which is said to be around 40 miles southeast of Sacramento.
According to TMZ, Peterson recently got into an altercation with another inmate while in the California state prison. Notably, the fight was related to pickleball.
Reportedly, Peterson got into a confrontation this past Sunday. He was in the yard near his housing unit at the prison.
According to the publication, sources claimed that Peterson directly hit another inmate with the ball. This incident “triggered” the incident.

It was said that Peterson was “beat up” by the other inmate. However, his injuries were not too serious, and he did not need to spend time in a hospital.
Last August, Peterson was the subject of a Peacock documentary, Face to Face with Scott Peterson. Peterson maintained his innocence and kept with his theory that Laci was abducted prior to her death.
As shared by Today, Peterson shared the following in the first episode, “If I have a chance to get the reality out there, I have a chance to show people what the truth is, and if they’re willing to accept it, maybe that takes a little bit of hurt off my family, and that would be the biggest thing that I can accomplish right now.” He later added, “Don’t trust me — look at the evidence.”
Peterson also looked back at the trail, noting a decision to waive time. As he shared, “I look back on some of the things we’ve learned, some of the things we were still learning during trial. And I kind of wonder, ‘Gosh, if I had been more prudent or patient or whatever, maybe things would have been different.’”
Peterson also described his reaction to the verdict. As he shared, “It was just like, this horrible, physical reaction. Everything just went kind of silent. I couldn’t feel anything, I couldn’t feel my feet on the floor. I couldn’t feel the chair I was sitting in.”
