Grey’s Anatomy’s Jesse Williams’ Ex Claims Proof Of Bullying & Threats
Grey’s Anatomy actor Jesse Williams is in the middle of a messy custody battle with his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee. The exes share daughter Sadie, 11, and son Maceo, 9.
Although the pair officially settled their divorce in 2020, it doesn’t seem they’ve completely figured out the aftermath. Co-parenting in particular seems to be a hot-button issue between Williams and Drake-Lee.
As the exes battle the situation out in court, Aryn Drake-Lee has produced text messages from Jesse Williams. She alleges the messages contain “bullying” language and “threats.” Read on to get the scoop.
Jesse Williams Fights For Equal Custody Of His Son & Daughter
Celebrity divorces can often be nasty. While Jesse Williams and Aryn Drake-Lee have legally ended their marriage, things get a bit messier when it comes to the children.
According to In Touch Weekly, Aryn Drake-Lee presented messages her ex-husband sent to support her claims during their custody battle. Williams reportedly requested 50/50 custody of their children, which Drake-Lee adamantly opposed. The publication reports that there will be a hearing in late March.
Last September, Williams initially asked the court for a modified custody agreement, citing how close he and the children are.
“The children and I are crazy about each other, and we have a deeply loving active and closely bonded relationship. There is absolutely no reason why Aryn should have more custodial time with the children than me,” the Grey’s Anatomy alum told the court.
“They almost always ask me how many days they will be with me week to week and if they can ‘just stay longer.’ I moved to a home only 15 minutes from Aryn to make transitions as easy as possible but even with proximity, the number of transitions is unnecessarily challenging for our children and causes unnecessary interactions between me and Aryn,” he continued.

Aryn Drake-Lee Shares “Bullying” Messages From Her Ex-Husband
Jesse Williams may maintain a close relationship with his children, but it doesn’t seem that he and Arym Drake-Lee are on the best terms. In Touch Weekly reports that Drake-Lee has claimed her ex-husband “consistently bullies, intimidates and harasses her.”
According to Drake-Lee’s filings, Jesse Williams allegedly goes through his attorneys, intent on “making demands and threats to take her to court.” She further states that her ex’s demands are “ungrounded and riddled with confusion and lies.”
To prove her point, she attached text messages from Williams. In one text, they discussed their son’s missing soccer jersey.
“No one cares about your exhausting, self-absorbed attempts at blame and stories: they’re irrelevant. Solve the problem for your son. Stop losing their stuff all the time,” Williams allegedly wrote. “And when you do, find a solution for your child instead of all this energy throwing bombs at me and canceling the child’s activities. Jerseys don’t have legs — how many people are in and our of your home? Make the effort to find his jerseys and if that fails, reach out to parents whose kids are not attending the tournament and borrow theirs.”
“Ruining the experience for [their son] to try to score some dramatic political points against me is not child centered,” Williams’ message reportedly continued. “Stop harassing me with your needed, vapid word-salad bullsh*t. If any of it made sense it would stand up to the most basic scrutiny. It never does. You’d have to answer to any of the perfectly fair questions posed. You never do. Fight. Duck, dodge, repeat. Grow up or give us custody and I’ll gladly handle this.”
