Hallmark Renews Sarah Drew’s ‘Mistletoe Murders’ Season 2
Will Sleuthers finally learn who Emily Lane is? Thanks to Hallmark Media renewing Mistletoe Murders for Season 2, the odds of learning more about Sarah Drew’s mysterious character just got better. Here are all the details about the second season including who will return to the hit mystery series that also stars Peter Mooney, and Sierra Marilyn Riley.
Hallmark Has Renewed Mistletoe Murders Season 2
On Monday, Hallmark finally renewed the hit mystery series Mistletoe Murders. According to Deadline, the whole gang is back. That includes Sarah Drew, as Emily Lane, Peter Mooney as Detective Sam Wilner, and Sierra Marilyn Riley as Sam’s teenage daughter Violet, who works for Emily at Under The Mistletoe, the year-round place to get all things Christmas.
Also returning is Jean Yoon, who plays Sue, the owner of the local diner, Lara Amersey, who portrays June Hubble, and Good Witch alum Kylee Evans who plays Emily’s frenemy Brooke. It can be assumed that more of the cast, and some special guest stars will also star in the upcoming episodes.
Hallmark Media SVP of Programming, Samantha DiPippo shared, ” We had searched for the right series to blend Christmas with Mysteries – two genres our viewers love – and Mistletoe Murders cracked that case to perfection. The enthusiastic audience reaction made the decision to renew the series an easy one.”
After the jaw-dropping season finale that left fans asking, ‘Who is Emily Lane?’, we look forward to another riveting holiday in Fletcher’s Grove filled with mystery, romance, and of course, Christmas.
The Hallmark series is based on the Audible Original of the same name starring Cobie Smulders. What makes this Hallmark series super extra fun is that the Audible creator Ken Cuperus is the showrunner. Ken didn’t just bring the Audible Original to screen, he created new stories and added a twist to one of the originals. Therefore, those who love the top Audible Original get new mysteries as well.
Sarah Drew Celebrates Series Renewal In Reindeer Onesie
Although Mistletoe Murders was listed in the leading industry production publication twice, Hallmark did not make the Season 2 renewal official until Monday. Needless to say, Sarah Drew was popping the champagne – in a reindeer onesie! It turns out she was dressed up for her daughter’s birthday celebration when the Grey’s alum got the news. Nothing could be more fitting or fun.

When Does Mistletoe Murders Season 2 Start Filming?
Mistletoe Murders Season 2 will start filming later this year. Hopefully, for the actors and crew, it will not be during the heat of the summer like last year. However, they film at the same place as Reacher films, and that series is also renewed. Therefore, they may not have much choice. That means ice packs in the winter jackets and fake snow.
