Wheel Of Fortune fans have been calling for Ryan Seacrest to be fired even before he got the coveted hosting gig. However, based on the host’s latest fail, it looks like the top brass may be looking to make some major changes. So, what’s the latest on this?
Wheel Of Fortune: Fans Wanted Ryan Seacrest Out Before He Even Started
As soon as Pat Sajak announced that he was stepping down from his post as the longtime Wheel Of Fortune host, the alarm bells were already ringing among the loyal fanbase. By the time Ryan Seacrest was announced as the new host of the show, viewers wanted him out even before he began.
With game shows like Wheel Of Fortune, The Price Is Right, and Jeopardy!, they are steeped in tradition, and fans grow to love the continuity they can expect from these game shows. Because of this, viewers do not adapt well to change, and changing a popular host after decades is exactly the sort of thing that draws backlash from the fans.
Ryan Seacrest Has Been Trying To Put His Stamp On Things
When you come into a show like Wheel Of Fortune, there is a lot of pressure and certainly big shoes to fill. This has been the case for Ryan Seacrest, as he has been trying to carve out his own niche in this new era of the game show. Still, viewers have called him out at every turn along the way.
The way fans see it, they don’t like any time that Ryan tries to put his own spin on things, which he has often tried to do in order to put his own signature on the game. However, based on the latest updates making the rounds, it does not look like just the fans have an issue with the new host.
Wheel Of Fortune Executives Looking To Shake Things Up After Ryan Seacrest Fail?
A recent Wheel Of Fortune inside source had some tea to spill, saying: “You’re starting to see what a secret weapon Pat Sajak’s understated sense of humor was for that show. Ryan is fast on his feet, but not necessarily when it comes to jokes, but that stuff came naturally to Pat and got woven into the fabric of Wheel over the many decades he was on.”
Based on the latest ratings, Jeopardy! is closing in on Wheel Of Fortune, and the top brass is not happy about this rival game show closing the gap.
The recent source continued, saying: “Everything around Wheel of Fortune feels very ‘wait-and-see’ right now, especially because Vanna White’s future, and eventual retirement timetable has yet to become clear either.”
If that were not enough, another source said: “With the ratings heat from last fall cooling down, everybody involved with the franchise is wondering if more sudden changes could be in the cards.”

I think that he’s settling in just fine. The first week was a bit off, but he’s polite, personable, and funny now. He interacts with the guest very well. He’s not Pat, but why would anyone want him to act like a clone? Pat was afraid to stay near the winners, but when Ryan got knocked down, he took it in stride. Some people just don’t like change.
I love Ryan. He is such an improvement over Sajak! He an Vanna are great!

I think that after a slow start, he is doing fine. Everyone just needs to just chill and give the poor guy a break. Pat had years to perfect his WOF performance. And while everyone loved him it is time to move on. Vana was just OK when she substituted for Pat. It would be a hard gig for anyone to follow Pat who had been there for so many years. Just give him some time to find his footing. He will be great !!
I think Ryan is doing a great job. There will never be another Pat, but give Ryan some credit though, he is trying!

Pat’s daughter is doing a fine job. Personal attacks toward her are unnecessary. Ryan is great. Slow start but the real Ryan is emerging in a very good way.

I’m sorry but I think Ryan Seacrest sucks at being a host of WOF.. Big time. He doesn’t have the right personality for a game show host. And I believe he is really trying to leave his mark on WOF so people will think he is better than Pat Sajack…

Loved Pat but Ryan is a good fit to the show. He has a good personality, sense of humor, and guests seem more comfortable with Ryan’s comments.

I think that Ryan has settled in very well on the show. In fact, I feel that he reacts with the contestants much more than Pat did…making it more enjoyable to watch.
Vanna also seems to be speaking more on the show and not so robotic.

Definitely, And Pat was pretty snarky most of the time. He also was not that nice to Vanna. You can see how much more respect and kind words he has working along side her. He’s doing a great job.
