Bachelor In Paradise is returning to ABC soon for Season 10 after a year-long hiatus. The network has revamped the show after low ratings in Season 9. If Wells Adams doesn’t return as bartender, who should replace him? Fans have a lot of suggestions. Keep reading to find out more.

Changes Coming To Bachelor In Paradise

Bachelor In Paradise is finally returning to airwaves sometime this year after a brief pause. ABC has yet to reveal if the show will air this summer or in its usual fall timeslot. They haven’t started filming for Season 10 yet, so there’s no word on the full cast list.

Wells Adams previously suggested a season that combined the young and the old with contestants from the regular Bachelor franchises and the Golden Bachelor spinoff.

But we do know that the show has changed location. Aside from Season 1, every season of BIP was filmed in Playa Escondida Resort in Sayulita, Mexico. But that will be different this year. The show will stay in Mexico but film at Costa Sur in Puerto Vallarta instead.

Is ABC Replacing Wells Adams As BIP Bartender?

Wells Adams has been an important part of Bachelor In Paradise since 2017. Viewers first met him as a contestant on JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette. He went on to join Season 3 of BIP after getting dumped by JoJo. Wells didn’t find lasting love on the beach but he did land a cushy job. He returned for Season 4 to replace Jorge as the show’s resident bartender.

He didn’t need to look for love as he’d already found it with actress Sarah Hyland. The two started dating in late 2017 and married in August 2022. In addition to slinging out drinks, he also acts as a therapist for the BIP contestants.

ABC put Bachelor In Paradise on pause after Season 9, similar to what they’re doing with The Bachelorette now. BIP didn’t air last year, but fans can expect a super-sized version when the show returns this year. But will Wells Adams return as the bartender?

He was a contestant on Season 3 of The Traitors while Bachelor In Paradise was on pause. He also hosts Best In Dough on Hulu.

Bachelor Nation Fans Suggest Replacement Ideas

Is Wells Adams just too busy to return as bartender? ABC hasn’t officially confirmed, but it’s highly likely that Wells will return for Season 10.

But one Bachelor Nation fan said on social media that it is time to replace him. “I’m kind of over Wells as the bartender and would love some fresh blood doing the job instead,” they wrote. The post also asked for suggestions from other fans on who could take over for Wells.

And Bachelor Nation fans really came through with names. Check out some of the suggestions:

  • “Rachel [Recchia] and Blake [Moynes} is the most tolerable of these options but I’d take anyone besides Wells.”
  • “Charles [Ling] from Joan’s season!”
  • “I can really not think of anything more boring than a Serena/Joe bartender duo, nor can I think of anything I’d wanna watch less than Blake Horstmann period”
  • “Personally I’d like to see some Goldens bartend – Susan [Noles] and maybe one of the guys from Joan’s season!”
  • “I think it should be someone from the Golden shows who can offer some wisdom. I never felt like Wells added anything, he just wanted to hang out.”

One Bachelor Nation fan went against the grain and suggested someone outside of the franchise. They wrote, “Bring back David Spade for this!” Comedian David Spade was a temporary host of BIP after Chris Harrison’s shocking exit.

What do you think about Wells Adams as bartender on BIP? Should the network replace him with someone else? Drop your suggestion in the comments.
