Breakups are never easy, but Hoda Kotb bounced back and eventually reentered the dating scene following her 2022 split from Joel Schiffman.
Hoda’s friends and former co-stars are all too eager to help her find her perfect match. But some fans hold out hope she might actually rekindle what she had with Joel Schiffman.
Amid Hoda’s recent retirement, she decided to host a feast for her loved ones.

The Former Today Anchor Speaks Very Well Of Her Ex-Fiance
Many celebrity splits end in explosive chaos. However, Hoda Kotb and Joel Schiffman seem to hold each other in very high regard. Even years after they ended their engagement, the former Today anchor said incredibly kind things about her daughters’ father.
“Joel is one of the best people I know,” Hoda shared in a 2024 interview. “And he really is a great human being. And I feel like I’m a pretty great human being. But sometimes, two great human beings together isn’t quite enough to make it work.”
The couple spent eight years together before getting engaged. They knew each other very well, but ultimately recognized it wasn’t enough.
“When people are growing at different paces, it’s hard to be in sync. And I feel like people are probably in these situations, and I get it!” Hoda continued.
However, the journalist hopes to find long-lasting love again someday. As far as the public knows, she and Joel Schiffman will likely remain friends and co-parents. At the very least, fans love seeing the pair on positive terms with one another.
