Reba McEntire Shares Shocking Connection To Christopher Rich
For six seasons, Reba McEntire played Reba Hart on her self-titled show. She had been married to Brock Hart, played by Christopher Rich until he had an affair with his dental hygenist, Barbra Jean. Brock then married BJ (Melissa Peterman) and they went on to have a baby. At the same time, Brock and Reba’s teenage daughter, Cheyenne, also had a baby so they had to figure out how to manage their blended family. By the end of Season 6, they were a complete unit, despite the dysfunction. The cast maintained a close friendship, being family on and off the air.
When Reba launched her new series, Happy’s Place, it was originally thought to be a Reba reboot. Melissa Peterman signed on but eventually, it was shifted to something else. It has since become a smash hit for NBC, being renewed for Season 2. Their former co-star, Steve Howey made a guest appearance. Then, Christopher Rich joined in on the fun. He played a tattoo artist named Maverick and fans loved seeing the reunion. Now, Reba is revealing how Christopher is actually connected to her beyond television.

According to People, Christopher and Reba McEntire’s boyfriend, Rex Linn are best buddies. Rex also plays Emmett on Happy’s Place so Christopher had another friendly face when he made his appearance. Before Christopher stepped into the role of Maverick, he had this to say:
“Her present boyfriend, Rex Linn, is one of my besties. It’s glorious to me where life has brought us all to be honest. It’s really fabulous. I’m so happy that she’s happy, and she’s happy that we got to spend time together. And Rex is happy and I’m happy for Rex … it’s just a joyous time.”
Yet, Reba and Rex are just one small piece of his former sitcom’s puzzle.
A Whole Reba Lifeline
Aside from his closeness to Reba McEntire and Rex Linn, Christopher Rich is very close to his former television daughter and her husband. JoAnna Garcia Swisher played Cheyenne on Reba and Christopher shared that he officiated her wedding to Nick. More so, he looks at them as his own children.
