‘Welcome To Plathville’ Lydia Plath Officially Married
Lydia Plath of Welcome to Plathville fame has happy news to share with fans. The TV personality just tied the knot with her fiancé. TLC even announced the news on social media, giving fans a peek at the ceremony.
Lydia Plath’s New Husband Shared, ‘We’ll Have The Rest Of Our Lives’
Welcome to Plathville, which first came out in 2019, revolves around the Plath family. As seen on the show, this family of eleven makes a life for themselves in southeast Georgia.
On Instagram, TLC recently shared surprising news for one member of the family. Lydia Plath, daughter of Kim and Barry Plath, has a relationship update to share with fans.
As the video’s caption read, “Congratulations to the newlyweds! #WelcomeToPlathville’s Lydia Plath and Zac Wyse said ‘I Do.'” This was also paired with a heart emoji.
As seen in the video, Lydia said “I do” to her fiancé, Zac Wyse. Opening on a shot of Lydia’s wedding ring, the Welcome To Plathville star announced, “We’re married.”
Zac shared, “This is my wife,” with Lydia replying, “My husband.” The happy couple teased, “We can kiss now. That was so special.”
Soon, fans were shown a montage of photos showing the two together in a series of wedding photos. Zac noted, “We’ll have the rest of our lives.”
As People noted, the marriage comes out after a quick engagement. Lydia had confirmed that Zac proposed to her only around two months beforehand.
At the time of her engagement, Lydia also spoke with the publication. She noted, “The moment we were in each other’s arms we were overwhelmed with all the emotions that led us to this moment.” It was noted that Lydia had only revealed her relationship with Wyse only a month prior.
The Reality Star Also Shared Why She Chose Her Wedding Dress
Lydia once again spoke with the publication now that she and Zac are husband and wife. It was noted that the kiss that sealed Zac and Lydia together was also their first. As Lydia shared, “The discipline it has taken to save our first kiss for the wedding day is an example of the commitment we have for each other going into our marriage.”
The publication also noted that the wedding was held on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the family’s Georgie farm. Around 115 guests were in attendance at the ceremony, which boasted a blue theme.

Describing the wedding, Wyse added, “We envisioned a time to celebrate our union with our close communities coming together. Neither of us wanted to get caught up in the details we won’t remember for the years to come.”
“So, we’ve tried to keep our focus on what our purpose for this day is. Our union before God, our friends, and family.”
Lydia also noted how important community was to the ceremony, saying it was even reflected in her wedding dress. As she noted, “What made me choose this dress was how it fit my personality.”
“It wasn’t just my choice but many people who were there when I tried it on agreed that the dress was very much me. It’s a dress that makes me feel free and graceful.”
