Jimmy Kimmel’s Shocking Celebrity Wish List Revealed

For over 22 years, Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been a staple of late-night television, bringing in a wide range of celebrity guests, musical performances, and comedic segments. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the show has featured everyone from movie stars and musicians to athletes and comedians. But despite all the famous faces that have stopped by, there are still a few big names Kimmel hopes to interview on his show.
Jimmy Kimmel’s Wish List
In a recent interview with People magazine at the Keep Memory Alive’s The Power of Love Gala in Las Vegas on February 22, 2025, Kimmel shared that there’s one person he’s particularly eager to have on his show: pop icon Madonna. Even though Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been on the air since 2003, Madonna, who is now 66, has never made an appearance. Kimmel admitted that he’s not desperate to get her, but he would love the chance to sit down with her. He wasn’t sure why Madonna hasn’t been on the show yet, but he did mention that his sidekick, Guillermo Rodriguez, had a memorable moment with her. Last year, during a concert in Mexico City, Madonna invited Guillermo on stage, which left Kimmel jokingly feeling a bit left out. “She had Guillermo on stage with her. Not me. Nothing for me,” Kimmel said with a laugh.

Madonna isn’t the only celebrity Kimmel would love to have on the show. He also mentioned a more unusual guest he’s hoping for—Banksy, the anonymous street artist known for his powerful and often controversial pieces. Since Banksy’s identity remains a mystery, it would be quite the challenge to get him on Jimmy Kimmel Live! But Kimmel expressed his desire to interview him, acknowledging how unlikely it is to ever actually have the artist on the show. Still, he joked that maybe Banksy had already appeared on the show without Kimmel even knowing it. “Maybe Banksy was secretly Jason Alexander,” Kimmel quipped, referring to the actor known for his role in Seinfeld. When asked about Jason Bateman, another actor Kimmel is friends with, Kimmel joked that Bateman’s artistic skills clearly ruled him out as Banksy, saying, “I’ve seen him draw. He’s not Banksy.”
Kimmel Likes Fun Not Fame
Despite these celebrity wish lists, Kimmel isn’t just focused on getting big names. He’s genuinely enjoying his time hosting the show and feels that, in some ways. The show is more fun than ever. “In some ways, it’s more fun,” Kimmel said, explaining how age and experience have improved his hosting. Even though there are nights when things don’t go as smoothly. Kimmel said that when the show is going well and the audience is into it, it feels amazing. He also noted that when the show starts to feel less exciting, that’s when it might be time for a change. But for now, he’s still having a blast hosting the late-night show.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. EST on ABC, and with Kimmel’s enthusiasm still going strong, it looks like the fun will continue for many more years to come. Whether or not Madonna or Banksy will ever appear remains to be seen, but fans are sure to keep tuning in for the laughs, interviews, and surprises that have made the show such a success. Will Madonna and Banksy ever agree to be on the show? Is Jimmy Kimmel’s wish list agreeable? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
