Bobby’s Triple Threat is set to come out with a new season. However, host Bobby Flay is introducing a new “titan” to audiences. Recently, Flay’s even opened up about the show’s new star.

Bobby Flay Gives A Chef A Chance To Win Big On Bobby’s Triple Threat

Flay is a celebrity chef, honing his skills at the French Culinary Institute. Over the years, he’s become known for hosting various Food Network shows. Most recently, he stars on Bobby’s Triple Threat.

On Bobby’s Triple Threat, Bobby Flay welcomes a chef to compete for a $25,000 prize with three culinary “titans.” These three chefs were originally Brooke Williamson, Michael Voltaggio and Tiffany Derry.

However, Flay is welcoming a new “titan” to the series, following the departure of Tiffany Derry. According to People, Ayesha Nurdjaja will be joining the series.

Speaking with the publication, Flay shared, “Her food is dynamite.” He continued, “The competing chefs underestimated who she was, which was the greatest thing to watch, because she just brought it. It was so great.”

Nurdjaja was described as a Brooklyn native. She serves as the executive chef and partner of Shuka and Shukette, two New York City restaurants.

Nurdjaja has appeared in various Food Network and cooking shows, including Chopped and Works Cooks in America. Notably, she’s even appeared on Beat Bobby Flay.

However, Nurdjaja’s new role on Bobby’s Triple Threat is her first starring role. As Flay noted, “The thing about it is she was never really a chef that competed on these kinds of shows, which is a completely different skill set.”

Ayesha Nurdjaja Needed A Little Convincing To Join The Show

Flay continued, “I mean, you certainly need the cooking chops and the abilities to even think about competing in that arena at the highest level. But it also takes another skill set where there’s a clock on you and all kinds of pressure.”

Flay also admitted Nurdjaja was initially unsure about joining the show. He noted, “At first, she was like, ‘I don’t know, Bobby.’ And I get it, it’s nerve-racking.”

“I mean, you’re putting yourself on the line on this network where everybody watches to see how good you are as a chef. I convinced her over a cup of coffee finally at a restaurant one morning.”

“And I was just like, ‘I got you, you’re going to get there. You’re 90% of it. I’m going to help you with the other 10%. I’m going to get you comfortable, and then you’re going to fly.'”

Flay also assured Nurdjaja got on with Voltaggio and Williamson. He added, “She felt like the team, and I think this show is going to rate better than it ever has, and it already does really well, so I’m really thrilled for it.”

Bobby’s Triple Threat finished filming its latest season. A premiere date has not been announced, but the season is expected to air sometime in 2025 on Food Network.
