Wheel Of Fortune: Ryan Seacrest

As much as Wheel Of Fortune fans love the long-running game show, there are certain aspects about it that don’t sit right with fans. Recently, some viewers called the show out for being “staged.” So, what did watchers say about it recently?

Wheel Of Fortune Has A Loyal Fanbase

When there is a show like Wheel Of Fortune, which has been on the air for decades, over that time, it builds up a loyal fanbase, and that has certainly been the case for this program. Viewers are so attached to this show that switching hosts to Ryan Seacrest created a firestorm among viewers.

Even though Vanna White remains at her post to be the bridge between the Pat Sajak and Ryan Seacrest eras, even now, there are still many viewers who are not happy with the fact that Ryan took over. However, viewers recently called out something else about the game show recently.

Fans Call Out Game Show For Being ‘Staged’

As much as Wheel Of Fortune fans love this game show, there are many aspects that viewers don’t like. Recently, some fans even went as far as to call the show out for being “staged.” More specifically, fans called out the fact that the bonus puzzle prize is often $40k, which is the lowest minimum amount that a player can win from solving the puzzle.

The way some fans put it, the “staged” aspect of the game is producers potentially meddling with things to ensure that the lower $40k amount gets picked more often than one of the higher possible amounts on the show. While $40k is not exactly pocket change, this is still something interesting to think about.

Wheel Of Fortune Fans Call Out Producers

Wheel Of Fortune fans regularly discuss the game show beyond just the weeknight episodes that people tune in to watch. It’s a way for viewers to keep up with their favorite game show that goes deeper than surface level. Recently, commenters drew attention to this recent staging aspect.

  • One commenter said: “Why oh why does someone always have to win $40k in the Bonus Round? I understand that $40,000 is the minimum in the bonus round, but, it seems like it’s a staged show and why do they keep giving $40,000 all the time? I wish it would be $50K or $100K or even $75K.”
  • Another commenter added: “I mean it’s seemingly $40k 9 times out of 10. It seems like it’s reasonable to ask why it’s so lopsided.”
  • A third person chimed in, adding: “I honestly don’t understand what other people don’t understand about this. The bonus wheel has, what, 25 spots on it? 21 are $40k, one is $50k, one is $75k, one is $100k and one is the car. Basic probability.”

  1. Ryan seems to be more at ease which is good. People typically don’t like change. I believe Ryan is doing a great job. I do agree on the big wheel. Why can’t it have other choices like trips.

  2. I love Ryan on the Wheel. Looks like he has always belonged there. Maggie is too young to do Ryan’s job. It’s his leave him alone.
