Kim Kardashian Makes Bold Move As Daughter, North’s Manager

Kim Kardashian is stepping into the role of a “momager” as she begins to manage her daughter, North West’s, career. This is a role her mother, Kris Jenner, has become very famous for, as she helped guide the careers of Kim and her siblings, including Khloé, Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie. Kris has been incredibly successful at managing her children’s careers, but Kim has made it clear that she plans to approach things a little differently with North.
Kim’s Expresses Her Business Strategy
In the February 20 episode of The Kardashians, Kim made a joke about not following her mom’s well-known business strategy. “Guess what? This momager is not taking 10 percent,” she said to her sister, Khloé. This was a light-hearted comment about Kris taking a 10 percent cut of her children’s earnings. A practice that helped Kris build her career as a manager while making her children very successful. Kim’s statement suggests that she might not follow this same approach with North.
Kim’s role as North’s “momager” came into focus during an important decision regarding North’s career. Last year, North was invited to perform at the Hollywood Bowl as part of The Lion King anniversary concert. She was asked to sing the song “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” as Simba. Kim, however, had some doubts about whether North, who is used to rapping and performing with her father, Kanye West, was ready to take on Broadway-style singing.
Kim Is Worried About North’s Career
“I just can’t decide,” Kim said during a phone conversation with Khloé. She explained her concerns about North not being used to singing Broadway songs and worried that the public could be harsh with their opinions. Kim, as a mom, knew that putting North in the spotlight could come with a lot of scrutiny. “That’s what I’m worried about,” Kim added, clearly torn over the decision.
Despite her concerns, Kim ultimately allowed North to perform at the Hollywood Bowl. Kim later shared in a confessional that, while North is comfortable performing, she is not a singer. “She’s been on the stage with her dad, but as a mom, especially putting her child on a platform for a lot of opinions, it’s something to really, really, really think about,” Kim said. This showed how deeply Kim cared about North’s well-being and wanted to make sure she was fully prepared for the pressure of being in the spotlight.
Ultimately, North did perform, and it marked a significant moment in her career. This experience highlights how Kim is learning to manage her daughter’s career while also being a supportive and protective mother. While she may not follow all the footsteps of her mom, Kris, Kim’s approach shows that she has her daughter’s best interests at heart. How do you feel about Kim being North’s manager? Should she earn some of North’s percentages? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
