‘Gold Rush’ Parker Schnabel Shocks With Latest Haul

Fans of Gold Rush know well that gold-mining efforts can end up becoming a gamble. Recently, Parker Schnabel had to change his plans ahead of a few setbacks. However, one of his more recent hauls on the show really ended up surprising fans.
Parker Schnabel’s Already Had To Change His Current Goals In His New Location
Fans were introduced to Schnabel through the Gold Rush series, appearing early on in the series. Schnabel runs the Big Nugget mine, which was gifted to him by his grandmother.
Recently, Schnabel has faced a few setbacks and challenges on the show. This has even caused him to change his current goals during his team’s mining efforts.

As noted by TV Insider, Schnabel planned to move upstream after working at Sulfur Creek. At the time, Schnabel hoped the area could hold up to $1.5 million.
Helping him were Tyson Lee and new hire Cole Anderson. They were even successful at moving wash plant Big Red to the new job.
However, they soon faced a few setbacks. After a hopper feeder tail drum needed replacing, the team found themselves down for two days in the interim.
Eventually, Schnabel had to change his season goal from 10,000 to 8,000. However, things could soon look up for his team.
Recently, Schnabel ran two wash plants at Dominion Creek. Over a period of four days, the team found themselves unearthing around 136.50 ounces worth over $341,000 thanks to the Bridge Cut.

This already went above their expectations. In addition, the Long Cut unearthed around 285.10, which was also worth over $712,000.
Ultimately, this was Schnabel’s best haul of the season so far. In addition, he still has hope to add three more plants and increase his gains.

Of course, Schnabel’s team is just one of various crews highlighted on Gold Rush. Notably, Rick Ness’ crew suffered a setback when one of his team’s trucks were overturned. In the end, they managed to put things back on track, avoiding possible thousands worth in damage.
Unfortunately, another truck faced a similar issue, causing thousands to be spent on a new drop box. The trucking efforts ultimately came up with 1,890 loads, over 290 more than the intended target. However, more work will be needed before they could reach their needed haul.
