‘Kardashians’ Did Caitlyn Jenner Marry Kris For Money?
Recently, The Kardashians star Kris Jenner has been hustling to keep her kids’ careers going. Undoubtedly, she has a knack for being a ruthless momager. Now, fans have wondered if Caitlyn Jenner married her former wife, Kris, for her money.
Caitlyn Jenner Spoke Highly Of Kris
When Caitlyn Jenner joined the documentary House Of Kardashian, she spoke highly of Kris Jenner’s business savviness. She told The Sun, “Kris started with absolutely nothing, and today she has a multibillion-dollar business. She built the dynasty.” Furthermore, she added, “Kris liked being in control of everything, as in the celebrity world, everybody tries to control their own narrative, and Kris knew how to play the game. In fact, nobody has done it better than she has.” But now fans are looking back on Caitlyn, then Bruce Jenner, and her marriage with Kris.
Did Caitlyn Jenner Marry Kris For Money?
On Reddit, some Kardashians fans struck up a conversation about Caitlyn Jenner and the idea that she married Kris Jenner for her money. Notably, Caitlyn previously admitted she convinced Robert Kardashian to divorce Kris. When Kris met Caitlyn, she had already claimed Olympian status. One Redditor wondered how Caitlyn is presumed to have been angling to get Kris’ money if she was an Olympic athlete at the time. Additionally, the user points out that when they met, they could have been in love. Seemingly, the idea of Caitlyn marrying for money is a little confusing. However, other fans see some reasons that point to her entering the marriage for financial gain.
- Another user explained, “Caitlyn famously had mismanaged her money before Kris. She was struggling financially and had no contracts/sponsorships at the time when they met. Kris took him on as her first project to manage basically & figured out he was good at motivational speaking and got him booked at a bunch of places. Then got them into doing workout videos; then selling sunglasses, etc.” Some people were shocked to learn that Kris curated much of Caitlyn Jenner’s wealth, which is where her experience to become a “momager” started as well. She took Bruce’s already famous status and paired him with companies to skyrocket his income.
Kris And Caitlyn Jenner Rose Up Together
According to US Weekly, Caitlyn Jenner only had $200 in the bank when Kris Jenner hatched a plan for success. Kris said, “I told my assistant, Lisa, ‘OK, listen. We have the greatest guy here. He really knows his craft. He is really good at what he does, but he doesn’t have anybody doing anything for him.” But she notes, “He doesn’t have a lot going on. He has $200 in the bank. What are we going to do?’” She added, “Because the kids have to eat. We have to get it together.” From that, Kris took her business sense and built an empire. The family later was approached about filming, and the rest is history.
Money Comes, And Money Goes
Seemingly, Caitlyn was notorious for not watching where her money was going. When Caitlyn and Kris Jenner agreed to film Keeping Up With The Kardashians, it was the paycheck they were hoping to collect. Kris was chomping at the bit to propel Kim Kardashian into fame at the time and even helped “leak” the infamous sex tape.
In Caitlyn Jenner’s book, she reveals being bitter over how money was managed. During most of her relationship with Kris Jenner, Kris managed the books, and Caitlyn spent the money. Likewise, Brody Jenner has made it clear that his family didn’t receive child support from Caitlyn.
