‘Bachelor’ Crew Let Go After ‘Bachelorette’ Pause Announced

News broke on Thursday that a big majority of crew members employed by The Bachelor franchise have been let go. The news comes following the shocking reveal that The Bachelorette was taking a pause and would not be filming the usual 2025 season. Now, with the news of staff losing their jobs, fans are wondering what exactly is going on. Keep reading to find out all the known details.
Bachelor Crew Let Go From Franchise Following Bachelorette Pause
In another shocking twist, it’s been revealed that multiple crew members who work on The Bachelor franchise have been let go. Deadline shared the news on Thursday. The news comes after it was announced that The Bachelorette is on pause and skipping a cycle.
The report indicated that crew members were informed last week that they would no longer be employed by the franchise. It was a shock to the hundreds of crew members who work behind the scenes. Right now the actual number of employees affected is unknown.
Reportedly, the crew is still working on special programs for The Bachelor such as the Women Tell All and After the Final Rose will continue until the show has wrapped up. It’s also unknown if this move is temporary or permanent.
It’s unclear if these employees will be given their jobs back when and if The Bachelorette does resume or when the next season of The Bachelor begins filming.
In the meantime, Bachelor in Paradise will be returning for the 2025 season after taking last summer off. The show will also have a new showrunner, Scott Teti. As much-needed changes are made to the franchise, it’s unclear what exactly will change and what will remain the same.
Is The Bachelorette Returning?
There has been a lot of discussion on whether or not The Bachelorette is actually going to return following the pause. According to Jesse Palmer, it is not canceled and definitely will be coming back. He thinks the changes being made will be great.
Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt also weighed in on the pause. She mentioned it could have something to do with Jenn Tran’s season and how the finale was a complete dumpster fire. Plus, there became questions about the vetting process for contestants after it was discovered that Devin Strader previously had a restraining order against him.

Jenn Tran herself feels the pause has something to do with the time of year the program airs on ABC. She feels it’s during a time when people are on vacation and out doing things. This is the opposite of The Bachelor which airs during the winter when everyone is bored and at home.
What do you think about the staff losing their jobs? Are you worried this is the beginning of the end of The Bachelor franchise?
