Wendy Williams Gets New Look During Nursing Home Escape

Wendy Williams has been trapped in a long-term health facility for months now. However, a judge gave her permission to go to Florida to spend time with her father for his birthday. Now that she is in Florida, she has looked happier than ever before and now she has gotten a new look to add to her joy.

Here is what Wendy did to change her appearance as she enjoyed her temporary freedom.

Wendy Williams Gets New Hair-Do In Florida

Wendy Williams is enjoying herself in Florida right now. She is there for her father’s birthday, and she seems happier than ever. Photos and videos of the former talk show host see her making her own way through the airport and joking with her aides as they head to her waiting vehicle.

Wendy not only looked happy at the airport and made jokes, but she also got a new hairdo. Wendy’s dad turned 94, and Wendy was celebrating with her family, something her guardian had forbidden her to do for a while. Wendy even said she had only been out of the nursing home twice in the last 30 days, both for dentist appointments (via Daily Mail).

Now that she is temporarily free, Wendy went to a salon. The former talk show host came out with blond highlights added to her long hair. Williams also rode her motorized scooter around the Aventura Mall, where the salon was located.

Wendy Williams Battling For Her Freedom

While Wendy Williams has been enjoying her freedom from the long-term care facility, she is fighting to be allowed to do this more often. Williams has been locked away in the facility and blocked from seeing any of her friends and family for months now. She wants to prove she does not belong there.

There is also at least one nurse at the facility Wendy is in who says that she has no problems. People with dementia, like what Wendy was diagnosed with, have good and bad days. However, the nurse says Wendy has no good or bad days, and all days are good for her. It might be nurses like this who could help get the guardianship dropped.

However, guardian Sabrina Morrissey claims Wendy doesn’t understand what is happening despite her recent interviews and public appearances. Morrissey is fighting to keep Williams confined, saying that it would take too long for a reevaluation.
