Erin Krakow And Kevin McGarry Had WCTH Writers Make Major Changes To Episode

In the most recent WCTH Season 12, Episode 7 “Dance The Night Away,” Elizabeth and Nathan go undercover to get more intel on the double eagle coin mystery. In this episode, they played a married couple Danny DiMarco and Diane DiMarco. In this episode, the two sang a song. However, in a new interview with The Edify Show, Kevin McGarry revealed the original song was “For Me And My Gal.” However, he and Erin Krakow did not want this song. Instead they pushed for their characters to sing a different song.

“‘For Me And My Gal’ was the original one. And then, Erin and I kind of talked.” He shared that they felt the song was “too fast.” They wanted a slower song. Kevin added, “And we wanted one that was more to Nathan and Elizabeth’s story. So we switched it to ‘You Made Me Love You.'”

He then shared that this song was about fighting their original feelings and “it was already in the stars.” Therefore, “We thought that this was a more appropriate song.” Best of all for the two actors, they let the two sing the song they wanted.

This Union City Scene Was ‘Fun’ To Make

The WCTH team went all out for this episode. From the glamorous costumes  to hair and makeup and authentic 1920s posters, there was a lot of work and money put into this particular scene. The set took weeks to set up and was down the day after the shoot. But, Kevin McGarry enjoyed the ride. “This song and dance moment in the middle of the show. It’s so much fun to shoot because we’ve never done it before. It was a lot of fun.”

However, it seems that the fun and games may be over. The previews for the next episode, “The Show Must Go On,” shows a sort of pandemic happening in Hope Valley.
