Carlton and Shantel were determined to change their lives during their episode. The My 600-Lb Life stars followed a strict diet program for months, resulting in their approval for bariatric surgery. After six months in the program, Carlton dropped 242 pounds. His sister shed 214 lbs, making them one of the most impressive sibling duos in the franchise.
Carlton and Shantel parted ways with Dr. Now at 544 lbs and 424 lbs respectively. They continued pursuing their goals behind cameras. But it seems the two faced major setbacks after their episode.

TLC recently released a new episode for My 600-Lb Life: Where Are They Now? The special episode features updates from the past patients. The video features Carlton and Shantel Oglesby’s return to the franchise. However, they reconnected with Dr. Now with disappointing news.
The siblings revealed that they regained over 100 lbs after the show, leaving Dr. Now dismayed. Shantel revealed that she had a baby, which halted her physical journey. Dr. Now also revealed that the siblings had a fall out, resulting in their lack of support for each other’s weight loss. Many fans were also sad about how their journey have turned out.

Meanwhile, Carlton Oglesby is no longer active on social media. But he got engaged in July 2022. There are speculations that things got complicated between him and his fiance, which may have led to his return to food addiction.
