That is exactly what happened recently, as someone is looking to sue her over something she shared online. So, what’s the latest on this?

Kim Kardashian is one of the most followed people anywhere, with hundreds of millions of social media followers who keep up with everything she shares online. This is a great way to leverage things like brand partnerships, as well as to promote causes that she is passionate about.
The dream for many people is to have a lot of eyeballs on everything they share, and to have a lot of people engaging and interacting with those social media updates. While this can certainly be a good thing, there are some instances when having the kind of social reach that Kim Kardashian does can also backfire in a big way.
Kardashian Makes Social Media Screw-Up Of Epic Proportions
In addition to promoting products and services, one other thing that Kim Kardashian regularly leverages her social media reach for is to bring awareness to certain things. Kim shared on social media that a man named Ivan Cantu would be executed in the state of Texas within two days.
Except there was one major problem with this update. Instead of sharing a pic of inmate Ivan Cantu, a pic was shared of another Ivan Cantu, a project manager from New York. While fails like this can certainly happen, based on the latest updates, there could be some major consequences from this recent faux pas.

Project Manager Ivan Cantu Suing Kim Kardashian?
It turns out, the Ivan Cantu who is a project manager from New York is suing Kim Kardashian over this recent social media mix-up.
According to Cantu, he took to social media to say: “To all my friends and family, I am not getting executed, some idiot who runs @kimkardashian used my picture instead of Ivan “Abner” Cantu.”
It turns out, according to TMZ, Ivan is suing Kim for “libel and slander” over this incident. He even goes as far as to claim that this huge error caused him major “emotional damage,” as well as hurting his reputation, as Kim Kardashian’s updates are seen by hundreds of millions of people.
Kim’s lawyer, Michael Rhodes, responded, saying: “It was a simple mistake of using the public photo of another man with the same name to promote Kim’s longstanding commitment to the cause of criminal justice reform. The image was taken down almost immediately once the error was discovered. We’d prefer to solve this without litigation, but of course will defend Kim as needed.”
